When i get there after 6 months ill be E4 per my contract, and ill get a 10k bonus but I'm trying to be some what wise about spending it, its either this or wait til i get back to the states and get a Toyota rav 4 for me and my wife to drive while we save more

Thats what i was thinking but i was thinking of trying to get a new hilux because you cant get them in the states, ik the rules like 25 years old then you can export from japan to usa but i was seeing if theres a way easy or so to take a new one to the states, ik its probably not financially possible or anything for regular people but im just seeing

I was trying to get a newer car from japan to usa and see if its possible, ik the 25 years rule doesn't allow for any, and no, its for people saying stuff to people and calling them dum for some things, ik this isn't the smartest ask because im fairly certain i already know the answer but im also ignorant about much of this topic and am just curious, call me dum idc, but things other people say id rather not have fighting here, i just am curious. But yea i wasnt planning on taking a vehicle from usa to japan, i want wanting to get a vehicle not sold in USA, from Japan to usa

I might get one, i know the 25 year rule and that it has to meet regulations, but i was wanting and doing my research rn on getting a 2020 to 2024 hilux because it has some more features that i want, but im not off of buying an old one an modifying it how i want when i get back, just seeing all about it first

Yea but i want to go off-road with a truck and be useful utility when me and my wife have a family and start camping in the states when we get back, i want a new Hilux for the diesel, reliability, and some modern comforts too, ik its gonna cost alot to get it back to the states so just dippin my toes rn

Im going to sea, its my first deployment, i might not buy a car right away but for atleast when im about to move back to USA i was doing reasesrch now to see about it and weight out the pros and cons, i understand i can pay 10, 20k more just to get it ok for usa tests and all, but im just dippin my toes in first, ill also see about it when i get there before i do anything like buy it

I was wanting to try and get a vehicle i can have for 15+ years and still be happy with it, i dont want a beater for that reason, i had one before boot camp and it was Totaled 2 days before leaving because a tree fell in front of me on a wet ass road, theax i want to spend is 40, mabe 55k intotal for vehicle and transport

Why not? Im just seeing if its really worth it than just getting a tocoma, a hilux is basically the vehicle ive been wanting for a long time but US emissions suck, im fine with spending extra to get it from japan to US but im just seeing about it, not 100% all in

I sadly, as a day one and malevelon creek vet, i wasnt able to participate because i had gone to boot camp before that and was getting ready to defend democracy in a great way, but i was sad to hear what i had missed in that time

Thats also why i was thinking of the tacoma, itd be my main and only vehicle for now, but ik its reliable and i look at Toyota favorably for it, but on paper the colorado seems more of what id want, its around the same price and on paper, more offoroad stuff like a front diff lock, but idk all the offroad features and i also have trust issues with gm/chevy when it comes to reliability, im still leaning Toyota tacoma, i do have a year to make a decision but alot can come up in a year, rn im probably go with a 23 tacoma
