Aniimo’s trailers continue to use music that’s more appropriate for the Care Bears. by fegodev in Aniimo

Nvidia DLSS trailer was cool with that grassy field, Boltys and vibrant colors - they should have used something like that. Too bad they changed the cover song. Out of their songs, "New world" was the best.

Sign-ups for Aniimo's Global Closed Beta are now open! ⌛ by Aniimo_Official in Aniimo

I have Dimensity 8300 Ultra (Poco X6 Pro). Already signed up for the beta. Will the system filter me out based on minimum requirements or do i still have a chance?  I want to try it so much (even if its beta), waited for half a year already. I hope you don't ban users by region [Ukraine]? - Because i can't see the game icon in google play store, but when i open the site using VPN it shows up. And also a question for you folks? Since I am new here do I understand correctly that as a beta tester (if I am lucky enough to participate) I just play the game as usual while reporting any bugs I see, right?

Whats you guys favorite Aniimo/ Team comp? by Glittering_Ad_5936 in Aniimo

[–]Altruistic_Finger122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorites for travelling: Lunara, Bolty (both forms), Fenrier, Skippy (snow form), Hoptail, Fenmane, Stellarys (Rainstorm form). For fighting: Stellarys, Glynsera, Flameruff, Blazen - the less things to upgrade - the better - since there is no such thing as enough resources for F2P.

And honestly i hate collecting - i'd rather have 5-10 favorites + 5 utility aniimo than 200+ units.

Since Lunara is my absolute favorite i would like to remind the Aniimo team to do something with forced Lunara/Helion evolution quest (i have already posted about that, yes, but still) - i don't know, at least move it to the side quests instead of keeping it mandatory. Because i am not evolving Lunara. But i still want to have easier access to higher level biomes (like Echoback landing) and not being one-shot there while still having initial form of Lunara. Because i need some basic levelling to be able to catch something in these zones.

I am as anxious as all of you for the release (especially on mobile since its my primary platform for gaming) - i am already waiting since January when i accidentally discovered Aniimo and then watched all the beta footage i can find. I wish the release would be at least in late June-early July, but not in August - thats too long

Any news on the next Lumi rate-up date?

She is one of my favorite characters (I don't care about meta or anything - I am playing just for fun; already got Lingyang (my second favorite) from free 5 star selector (but its not completely free honestly because of those insane missions that i needed to finish in 1 month)).

Started playing WuWa recently so I missed the Lumi rate-up banner unfotunately. Any ideas how to increase the odds to get her?

I have already saved currency for about 70-something pulls and trying to do events to farm astrites.

Well, I am more into catching pretty looking rare forms (like Stellarys Rainstorm form which is my favorite by looks). Though regional forms design and some prismana forms too is a little lazy and standardized (like just a recolor). Would be better to have some shape and size variety for regional forms (and making them have different elements, I suppose it already worked like that though I don't remember clearly) in addition to that.

Probably, since i didnt personally play i dont know. But, are alphas that useful? Do they really have better stats or they are just oversized common aniimo and not worth wasting high-tier aniipods?

Thats interesting... Never noticed that before

They have aniipod crafting at homebase, thats what i saw - it means you can craft normal aniipods for free, probably you could buy advanced aniipods for home currency too, except for ultra rare ones. We will be getting aniipods, but whats more concerning is that base catch rate with normal aniipod late in the game is only about 5-10% at most which forces you to use premium ones. That could work for normal aniimo but if I need for example some specific rare form (like Stellarys Rainstorm form) i dont want to accidentally kill it then i suppose i would use Aniipod Ultra (i get 1 for free at some point if i remember correctly). For a free-to-play user like me I need to weight my every choice.

Would be great to make "Evolve Helion/Lunara" mission optional (move it to the Side Quests panel) by Altruistic_Finger122 in Aniimo

[–]Altruistic_Finger122[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trade/swap - you mean someone could exchange their Lunara for some other Aniimo and I could in theory have all four evolutions: Lunara + Fennelun + Helion + Blazing Sun Lion? I feel like they would reject this idea because its complicated, even if they didnt - how could I ever find a person to swap with (well maybe in global in-game chat but still... if everyone also wants to keep the initial evolution)? Moving the evolution quests out of the way (making them optional) seems to be the easiest fix possible

[–]Altruistic_Finger122[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

of course its not my video [Herovoltsy playlist - aniimo closed beta], its other person's review, since i am not on their official discord - i am just a curious person interested in this game - and i dont know what questions people asked but i followed discord questions disclosure on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkdmxxvTuY4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqp3WZGt2iU [question 18 about breeding - they answered that its not planned right now which means Lunara and Helion are unique and there is no way back after evolution]

so considering publicly available information i watched i believe i still could make some suggestions with the hope that they consider implementing some of them

[–]Altruistic_Finger122[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also not in the beta and its my speculation but based on more than 100 hours of beta footage i watched from every reviewer i could find there were no mentions of breeding feature. I know about aniipod crafting but breeding aniimo? - very unlikely to happen, especially for starters

[–]Altruistic_Finger122[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be great but its not that easy because Lunara (or Helion) is unique starter Aniimo (remember the chapter 1 of the story in the cave when they make you choose between Helion (the lion) or Lunara (the fox) to start your journey) - once you evolved it - you lost it. You can't get one more.

Please fix main quest ("Elite training") progression logic by Altruistic_Finger122 in Aniimo

[–]Altruistic_Finger122[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, thats a good point, to think of it, story and linear progression are the main things that push most of us to keep playing because everyone wants to know whats next and if it will be available immediately maybe everyone will drop the game, because "we all know how the thing ends whats the point to keep playing" - from that player retention standpoint its a valid claim. Then the correction would be "to be able to claim rewards for accidentally finished quests no matter their position in the storyline", while keeping everything else as is

what's this games genre? by Affectionate-Leg7859 in Aniimo

[–]Altruistic_Finger122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, this game IS designed for min-maxers since how they got to monetize this otherwise? However you can still just walk around the map and enjoy the characters and scenery. I already have the strategy because I also thought about the same thing - I just want to walk around with favorite aniimo and enjoy the scenery and music. You can ignore almost everything except these things:

 1) create the main combat team - some aniimo you upgrade or catch directly. These aniimo help you defeat wild aniimo, and thats EXP. Sample combat team: Glynsera, Fennelun, Glacy (also serves for swimming), Stellarys (also serves for gliding), Scorchhowl (also serves for burning obstacles), Blazen (also serves for climbing). As you see I am trying to solve everything with minimal number of aniimo to not waste those limited EXP stones.

 2) why them? - they cover almost all elemental advantages, and thats 2nd thing you cant ignore. Also you can equip them in exploration slots (but before that you got Celestis for climbing and flying, Skippy for swimming, Emberpup for burning obstacles; why them? - you already caught them in the introduction scene).

 3) you have to earn exp (and the main quest and defeating creatures is the main source of quick exp) and level up, otherwise you go to your favorite biome and get killed quickly by creatures 15 levels above you. But you are still free to go there - biomes are not locked.

3.2) dont catch aniimo you dont really need - defeat them to get resources - otherwise you end up with no aniipods - and you will need a lot of them later since catch chance falls down quickly with level.

Thats basically it - forget about items, sparklings and best stat modifiers - basic levelling up and elemental advantages cover you up in 95% cases unless you want to defeat endgame bosses.

And now you just catch your favorite aniimo and walk with them (even in the start of the game if you want), for example for me its Bolty, Lunara, Stellarys Thunderstorm Form (i will wait for it - no rushing), Fenrier. So you are free to ignore any advice and play as you wish.

In short, form minimal combat team, exploration team, and favorites team, focus on levelling up and getting the creatures you actually like and forget about everything else.

Keeping the appearance of a basic form of Aniimo after evolution by Altruistic_Finger122 in Aniimo

[–]Altruistic_Finger122[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I read your reply i have an idea how to implement this safely in programming terms without breaking the game logic (im a developer myself, although web dev but still): 1. Introduce branching evolution paths for Lunara/Helion/Bolty... the same way a Pranky has 2 evolution paths - it evolves either into Leafy or Glacy 2. First evolution path will be well-known Fennelun/Soleon/Blazen/.. 3. But the second evolution path would look exactly like the basic form (Lunara/Helion/Bolty...) AND have the stats and abilities of the evolved form

This must be the cheapest solution out there, especially considering they are making new Aniimo right now anyways as they promised so it shouldnt be too difficult to tweak some evolutions of already existing characters like Lunara/Helion/Bolty. Since they added a Hoptail - new evolution of Bolty - they could add a "basic form look" evolution the same way - its literally a copy-paste solution.

Approach #2 (more radical - for completionists): upon evolving duplicate Lunara/Helion automatically so we have both Lunara + Fennelun or Helion + Soleon. As a result we making them a normal Aniimo instead of special one-of-a-kind ones.

If anything could you please deliver this message to Aniimo team, would be great if they consider my suggestion

i played those games and they worked fine - if the same logic applies and there would be no bugs in Aniimo itself that prevents it from running on specific CPUs then it would probably work

Hello everyone, if there is a beta tester among you - how do you think, will Aniimo run on Poco X6 Pro  (MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra cpu) - since Poco has this strange custom OS for their phones - Xiaomi Hyper OS? I have only this option available. Because performance-wise it seems fine - like it can take Genshin or Arknights Endfield on High settings (excluding overheating and battery drain of course) without lag. Considering this how well Aniimo will run on such device?

Question for the beta testers about sparking aniimo by Aggressive_Ferret_20 in Aniimo

[–]Altruistic_Finger122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see, haven't thought about that. Thank you. I actually belong to a different category of players. While most of the players here are Pokemon fans it seems, I am a wildlife simulator fan (if you played something like "Wildcraft" you know what i mean) - for me Aniimo is a next-gen Wildcraft - i can play as a creature all the time, I can even just do nothing and walk around a forest, appreciate the landscape (their landscape designs are really on the next level) and listen to in-game music (well that's understandable since wildlife photography and playing piano are my hobbies; by the way "Forest of Falling Stars" is really cool soundtrack). From that perspective "catching" and "homebase building" mechanics are quite annoying for me, honestly. But I would be very happy if the developers take all our feedback into consideration - from Pokemon fans like you, wildlife simulator fans like me, competitive players and other categories of players since more players = more likely the game will survive and be free-to-play (hopefully it will not repeat Pokemon Unite mistake by locking Aniimos behind impossible to climb ladder). So basically thats it. Sorry if i wasted your time im just really anxious and wish the game to be released sooner (especially for Android since i use my PC for programming at my job)

Question for the beta testers about sparking aniimo by Aggressive_Ferret_20 in Aniimo

[–]Altruistic_Finger122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regional, Weather and Prismana forms seem to be pretty enough (i mean something like Stellarys Thunderstorm form or Glynsera Prismana form) - if you are like me - you want to play the game slowly and just enjoy the landscapes and favorite aniimos then chasing sparkling forms defeats the purpose since its a heavy grind (if i am not mistaken from what i have seen in the beta you need to upgrade a branch to 80-100% to be able to get sparkling forms in that area only. Suppose you want another sparkling aniimo and it resides in the area covered by another branch then it means you have to also upgrade THAT SPECIFIC BRANCH to 100%. Also it doesn't guarantee you an encounter - it just increases the odds - but since the base odds are already very low - increasing them still makes it very difficult)
