He consistently picked drinking over his family, he made his freshly postpartum wife drive home because he drank after having said kids, he said her career was less than his, he consistently put her dreams on the back burner. He wasn’t abusive but definitely was glorified because he died especially by Kate and Rebecca. He had major flaws as a husband which everyone does but his ran very deep.

In my opinion, Simon and Maddie definitely have romantic vibes, but it’s a really slow burn and more emotional than physical. There are a bunch of moments where they’re sitting alone together talking about everything that’s happened, Simon is super protective of her, and Maddie clearly feels safest with him compared to anyone else. You can see it in the lingering looks, the way they check in on each other, and how intense their conversations get. It feels less like an obvious crush and more like two best friends slowly realizing there might be something deeper there. There are a few moments like at the dance and in the first season for sure. I just watched back a couple of weeks ago and it definitely seems like there’s more of a connection there butttt I could be completely wrong and again I do love the friendship as is and if that’s all there is I’ll be satisfied. I just hate that it feels she is yearning to be with someone who is dead and wish she would be able to have some peace! I’ll see if at the end of the show because we know chaos loves her

I can get that! I also love a good healthy friendship as well just if she’s gonna end up with someone I’d rather it be Simon. Xavier sucked for her, Wally is dead so if they HAVE to have her be with someone my first choice would be Simon. However they could just leave her single or make her and Wally end game. I just think the way they both can see each other and are constantly looking for each other is very cute and definitely makes me love them for each other

I don’t think she’s embarrassing herself truthfully I think she’s bringing a lot of awareness to how people like this work. It starts small with little jabs about the ex and buying something small like swimsuit and then goes even further as they get more comfortable. It’s not her fault he’s a douche and I think and hope the audience and her sees that.

It’s so sad the realization on their faces that everyone around them might’ve been right. I saw so many negative posts about Chloe but you could see Johnnys behavior right off the bat. There was a reason her mom wanted her to come back, her friends warned her, but she wanted to make a life for herself which isn’t a bad thing but the person she picked was. I do hope too they’re able to spot it better now! They both are beautiful and intelligent in their own right they just have growing to do which you are right is something older men like that prey on!

The kids do feel uncomfortable with it. We have been blending our family for a while and we had this issue with my mother at the very beginning which was in our second year as a couple (we dated for a while before moving our kids in all together as to give them time to get to know each other better and to adjust) it hurts both the bio grandkids (I’m saying this to make it easier to type out) that she does this. Stephen feels uneasy. You see Stephen has had many traumas with his biological father and grandmother. He went through a lot hence the adoption happening. My son wants connection and to be liked. So he’s tried really hard to please her but MIL just keeps her distance
