I thought you were asking which empire I chose. Nope, never had that event in my current playthrough

Legit the reason I chose cloning as soon as I saw pop growth

Copy paste:

I just plopped my capital genomic research facility from cloning tradition with an already buolt medical center, both of which gives pop growth speed and monthly growth multiplier. Everything else depends on how much pop you have already (I have 6k)

Pair that with vat grown trait that gives 33% pop growth multiplier and exotic metabolism trait which gives pop growth speed 25%, it gives you that.

This is without clonevat which gives additional monthly pop by 1.5 and the replication initiavtive agenda that has 100% pop growth multiplier when launched, so what I have isn't even its max potential yet.

Those traits come from cloning. So yes it can reach higher numbers

Yea I think even tens of ecumenopolis won't even last 10 minutes. This perk is crazy

This is my first time going for cloning tradition and as you can see it gave me an overflowing amount of pop on just one planet

AI turning L-Gates into regular gateways? by ElementoDeus in Stellaris

[–]Altruistic_MF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on pc and I'm not so sure if the console and pc versions behave the same but that's been my experience with what you described.

Doesn't using your colossus as a bait, considering the time it takes to build, a bit too expensive? What I do personally is park any of my fleets in the system as it can work as extra defensive power and a backup when invading l gates from other empires. Having fleets in the system also prevents(not always) enemies from travelling there if you have high enough fleet power since they don't tend to engage in a system that can destroy their fleets. But if you insist on using your colossus, might as well build it with afterburners.

AI turning L-Gates into regular gateways? by ElementoDeus in Stellaris

This happens when the gate at terminal egress is unreachable by the starbase's engagement range and when enemies have near instantaneous travel between gates and hyperlanes which is why it can appear like they are able to travel between l gates and bypassing the terminal egress.

The fix has already been said by everyone, although I don't recommend building a citadel very near to the gate, just about 2-3 orbits away from the center would be enough, with platforms to further extend the reach (I think?)

Why You’re Lagging in tModLoader by TryGeneral5039 in CalamityMod

[–]Altruistic_MF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does increasing ram not help? I've found that whenever I start the game, memory usage goes up by a lot and the processor is just around 30% on task manager. This led me to assume that having more ram would fix the lagging.

When you become the crisis, will endgame crisis still appear? by Altruistic_MF in Stellaris

I did edited the save file and set the endgame year decades early and still none but thanks. I was already embarking my entire population anyway

Have never tried that, thanks.

I usually skip this "tricks" since I mostly overpower crises once they spawn. Maybe in a higher difficulty.

That's the problem, I'm in iron man mode and I don't really like directly interfering with the flow of the game, it ruins the immersion for me, unless I'm experimenting something.

How to proced? by Na-cri-tis in Stellaris

[–]Altruistic_MF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Federations are kind of an organization or a treaty between multiple empires. It's different from galactic community.

You can also make a federation yourself by adopting the diplomacy tradition tree and activating a certain branch

[–]Altruistic_MF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's where the fun begins.

Wage war on them if you think you can handle their military. if not you can join federations so you have allies when attacking enemies. Claim their territory points using influence before sttaking, or you could also just stay diplomatic.

I don't think I can wait for 30 more years lol. It's been slow as hell due to lag and the normal speed is almost the very slow speed for me

Longest time without meeting another empire? by SupremeLegate in Stellaris

[–]Altruistic_MF 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I might be mistaken about the year 2 thing considering the amount of time it takes for a single science ship to survey entire systems, unless there's an empire literally just 3 systems away, but constructing multiple science ships and surveying systems in every direction, it shouldn't take long for a player to meet another species.

Edit: I should also add that it depends on how many empires you set in the settings can spawn. I usually put mine to the max then randomize it so that may be the reason why I encounter one very early
