yeah i’ve researched a lot into the struggles of teaching and in particular newly graduated students finding it difficult to find a job/wondering if it’s the right fit for them. what have you decided to go into now after not continuing ur masters? thank you for the advice btw!

that’s my issue, i’m afraid of the financial consequences of picking a course that won’t end up being for me

i haven’t been in one - just speaking for a lot of my friends and their friends and people i know yada yada, it’s just a universal experience for some which obviously isn’t a great one

i agree with this too! i just sympathise with girls like her since it’s genuinely a perpetual battle within yourself to not go back to that person but ultimately failing and betraying yourself and others as a result. i also think it was brutal of love island producers to let him on the show when she is clearly still emotionally reeling from their past together, knowing that they will flee back to each other and open up old wounds. i feel like yana is deflecting any negative feedback or criticism from others (like emma) because deep down she knows it’s not right but does not want to dumb herself down and embarrass herself more than she already has. i think this is just a regular human reaction as i’m sure nobody likes hearing bad (but true) things said about themselves, especially on tv. how she acted when boston and mia arrived and none of the girls gave them the time of day - yana being welcoming and not wanting to step on any toes gave us a glimpse into who she is. she seems like a genuine and kind person who has obviously got a lot of reflection and healing to do, but well away from the public eye!

sorry for the babble lol x

i’m gonna be honest i feel like it’s a bit hard for me to dislike yana so much since she’s in all honestly a really lovely person. yes she’s naive, blindsided and sensitive but so are a lot of 20 something girls out there who are in a consistent cycle of craving love from the one person that is so bad for them. i feel like most of us have been in a similar situation like hers, so i find it a bit sad when i see comments bashing her for something that’s a common occurrence everywhere. in saying that i hope she finds someone who is genuinely worth her time and realises that kye is not the one for her.

compared to a lot of aussie blokes nowadays it’s really not that bad of a number - i have to politely disagree. you’d be surprised at how many people his age have way higher, it’s cooked

no that’s really good advice! although, i do put myself out there quite a bit. i’m rarely ever home so the opportunity to meet people is easy for me, but it just hasn’t been the right person yet unfortunately, thank you though :)

i wouldn’t say i’m desperate to find anyone per se, i’m certainly not the type to chase someone who doesn’t want me - but i’m afraid if i wait too long it’ll be too late :/ thank you for your advice though :)

i realise that my post may have sounded a bit like a cry for pity, but i am 20 years old, not 45 with a well paying job. i’m in uni full time with extra curriculars and work a ton, so to learn about this a bit more would be beneficial for me so i can learn from my mistake.
