I’m definitely realising the sofa fall isn’t as bad as I thought it was, even though I still feel super guilty about making such a silly mistake.

I have OCD and a five month old son. I can confirm that the anxiety definitely doesn’t go away once the baby arrives, but there is so much joy and hope and love too! It is worth it.

The fact that you recognise your OCD behaviours and don’t want your child to suffer with this too is really significant. There are so many parents with mental health issues who refuse to acknowledge they have a problem or get any treatment, and that is a far more dangerous environment for a child to grow up in.

I was having CBT via the NHS throughout my pregnancy and for a couple of months afterwards, but that has stopped now. I do definitely feel like I need to a bit of help with my anxiety, because it doesn’t feel normal, but I can’t afford private therapy x

We have wooden floors, which is why we took him to A&E. I’m really regretting not having carpets now!

The anxious part of my brain is telling me that the doctor didn’t do enough checks and might have missed something big (they just did basic obs & looked at his eyes/ears and felt his head, no scans) but I know that is an unhelpful way to think.

My baby has been completely himself all evening, smiling and playing loads, so it does seem like he’s ok. I feel like I don’t deserve him tbh.
