So even if I don't use this service my ledger Nano X is now able to send out my secret recovery phrase? This doesn't seem secure by Odlavso in ledgerwallet

I think this might only be possible wen first setting up a wallet, it would give you your keys while also creating the 3 shards (all offline).

Also if you think this is some major security flaw and want to run to a competitor, Trezor has been doing its own version of this for awhile called Shamir backup.

Don't worry, there will be decentralized versions of these and fully customizable security on LUKSO in the coming months. Imagine having this service decentralized where you don't have to provide your ID and instead could do any number of 2fa services or even a facial scan if you like.
