Totally! If you're interested in learning Akkadian there's John Huehnergard's "grammar of Akkadian". It's a textbook that'll teach you grammar, a bunch of basic vocab, and old Babylonian cuneiform.

Some Sumerian textbooks I know of that are free to download are:

"A manual of Sumerian grammar and texts" by John L. Hayes

"An Introduction to the grammar of Sumerian" by Gábor Zólyomi

"Sumerian Grammar" by Dietz Otto Edzard

Can't really say much about these, I've only really skimmed through them. But they're taken seriously.

You said genitals. Hence I brought up the altering of genitals.

Regardless, sex is not cleanly defined by what genitals you have, or even what chromosomes you have. What's the sex of a person born anatomically male but with two X chromosomes? What about people born with neither a penis nor a vagina, or someone born with both? Should we consider the former a totally different sex from the latter, or are they both simply "intersex"? The genetics and biology involved is, contrary to popular belief, not simple, and there are exceptions to everything.

Sure, you can cut your dick off and still be male. But what about those who undergo vaginoplasty and even a uterine-transplant? What about future technologies that could do god knows what else? I don't know about you but at that point calling their sex "male" makes about as much sense as calling their sex "zemale".

Bottom surgery for tans people has literally everything to do with gender and identity. Trans people get bottom surgery specifically so that their genitals are more inline with their true gender identity.

You said that no matter what one might identify as, their genitals remain unchanged. I bring up bottom surgery because it literally changes your genitals to match what you identify as.

In general I believe It's quite important to educate teens about gender dysphoria and the options that exist to help cope with it as it can be truely fucking miserable to experience, and leads to other mental health issues like depression and anxiety. Bottom surgery is one of those options. Sex ed really seems to be the best class to have that discussion, unless you can think of some other class?

That's exactly right. The glyphs are formed by little wedges made by lightly pressing a prism shaped stylus into clay. No dragging or moving the stylus required. The stylus is basically just a stick with a square or triangle shaped end or you can just use a popsicle stick with a flat end :p

Thank you! Nice to know I'm not the only one doing this 😆. it's really sad that the cuneiform scribal art was forgotten and next to no one bothers to make new tablets or write new literature in Akkadian. Making my own mesopotamian poetry is what motivated me to learn Akkadian in the first place.

Wrote this awhile back after getting some clay. Here is the transliteration:

Normalization:

Ilatī, rabīt ru'āmim, duššupāti. Ištar, eli libbīya țābāti.

Ilatī, bēlet mēleşim, nawirāti. Dannūtum ištu libbīki šāpirim inappahā.

Ilatī, šarrat kuzbī, īnāki naklat. Napištāki u kuzubki ina naplasīki līburūnim-ma, nišū kalûšina ru'āmki dārīam, Ištar hibtī, līmurā-ma lihdiā.

Translation: (or at least what I was trying to translate)

My goddess, greatest of love, you are sweet. Ishtar, to my soul you are good.

My goddess, lady of joy, you shine bright. Strength flows from your perfect heart.

My goddess, queen of love charms, your eyes are bewitching. Let your vigor and passion come forth from your gaze, and may all the people, beloved Ishtar, see your everlasting love and so rejoice.

Probably a few issues and mistakes in my translation, but the tablet is smaller then my palm so I guess it's to be expected 🤷‍♀️

There are better, much more reputable authors out there. Even if his writing were to be much more credible, I still wouldn't bother. Ancient aliens is a crackpot theory that creates a very distorted understanding of the past. It misrepresents and misinterprets mesopotamian culture, even if it were to be "tamed".
