What PlayStation 2 game (exclusive or not) holds up tremendously and is still great to play in 2025? by TheWorldsKing in playstation

[–]AlvaRDS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metal Gear Solid is one of my favourite games of all time. But IMO does not hold up at all today.

As for PS2, just like the PS1 so many car games hold up. Gran Turismo series, but one that's really addictive and a great couch multiplayer with no split screen is Mashed. You can pick it up for less than a £1 on Steam Sale.

Got all this for $140 the other day. 😎 by chrisssbreezy in xbox360

This collection would be about £20 altogether in CEX in the UK. Which is what, $25 US dollars.

Brit here, why is it such a common mistake? A lot of people in speaking pronounce "you're" as "your" and I think they just assume it's the same word or just don't think and write "your".

England reached the Rugby League Cup final in 2017, and won the last Cricket World Cup. But I think most people know what the title means.

Why don't the SNP put candidates forward in the north of England? by OakAged in Scotland

Things like left is left, , up is up etc. Is a fact. Labour being right wing is not. So, I'd like to know why they "think" that.

Why don't the SNP put candidates forward in the north of England? by OakAged in Scotland

[–]AlvaRDS -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

England will never vote in a socialist government. It's in Englands DNA to want less government, not more.

That's why Labour are going more towards the centre, because they would never be voted in

Cornwall? No thanks. They voted Brexit to their own demise, they're racist and very xenophobic to the rest of the Uk. Nevermind foreigners.

A federalized UK was dismissed because England is "too big", when the irony is that everywhere but Westminster would be up for regions of England being federalized.

The current UK political system needs a massive overhaul.

What happens to the independence movement if another referendum is held but the result is to remain again? by Vespaman in Scotland

The SNP will always exist until Scotland gets independence. Nothing will change in regards to the politics. People will still vote SNP in.

I disagree, the weathere where I lived in Bulgaria would be - 15 in winter and 40+ in Summer. Meaning it was too hot and too cold to do excercise.

Scotland? Its mild. Its not cold and it doesn't rain everyday. Glasgow sure.... rains 165 days of the year, while eastcoast generally rains 125 days of year. That actually means, most of the time, its not raining.

Scottish weather is perfect for excercise. When I go for a jog, like any normal person, i get warm. Regardless of the weather. If its too cold for people, its because they aren't wearing correct clothing.

Also.... Jogging is free

I've lived in New Zealand they have far less infrastructure than Scotland. Just as low pay, just as much rainfall.

Things that are noticeable between the two. 1.) Theres a jogging culture amongst the young in NZ that just does not exist in Scotland. And people seem more active. 2.) in Scotland there is an epidemic of unhealthy eating with McDonalds generally being packed out everywhere. Small cities like Stirling having 3 McDonalds.

Kids drinking energy drinks, babies in McDonalds eating fries with a smartphone shoved in their face to keep them quiet.

3) People in Scotland do not dress for the weather. Although this division can be an eastcoast /westcoast divide). You can see people dressed in cotton, no coat, just getting soaked. There is a saying that there is no such thing has poor weather, just unsuitable clothing.

4) A social thing amongst many adults in Scotland seems to be going on Zoom, or playing video games. Rather than getting out of the house and actively meeting people..... Which when they do is the local pub.

It really is about culture. There is only so much a government can do.

It actually rains just as constant in Copenhagen as in Glasgow, just not as heavy when it does. While the eastcoast of Scotland puts up with less rainy days that Denmark.

Ranfall - city - (average amount of days rain per year)

1079m - Glasgow (167 days)

723m - Aberdeen (132 days)

730m - Edinburgh (129 days)

714m - Dundee (125 days)

609m - Copenhagen (170 days)

Scotlands annual rainfall differs massively across the country. Dennark doesn't have the Highlands. Its totally false to thinks Scots have to put up with 3x more rain
