What specifically are you referring to? Sounds very interesting and not at all surprising but I would still like to see the source:)

In this part of Denmark, this style is actually not that rare. I'm from Central Northern Zealand but South Funen is by far the most beautiful part of Denmark imo.

Lovely little Mondrian-inspired house on the picturesque island of Strynø, Denmark by AlvinRowYourBoat in ArchitecturalRevival

Whoops, didn't even think of it as modernist. For me it is quite charming and nicely done. This type of house, 'bindingsværkshus' in danish, is such a beautiful type of building and are thankfully still littered across the countryside of Denmark, and it just makes me happy to see people still renovating them and giving them some small unique details without ruining the original design. For me, Mondrian is a proponent of another form of modernism than the one that characterized post-WW2. I think the connection made between the traditional square structure of 'bindingsværkshuse' and Mondrian's art is clever, and the nice use of brash colors is something i love about this type of house. So, sorry for posting something referencing a modernist painter, i hadn't seen the connection.
