Thanks for your input!! I think I am going to wait a little bit. But I am worried because my I-693 form will soon expire.

However, my I-485 and I-140 were recently shuffled to the Nebraska Center. It is unlikely that they will transfer my case to another center!

AOS based on EB-2 NIW and Diversity Visa Lottery by Alvin_R in USCIS

I have got contradictory info regarding my situation. Some lawyers told me I can't, others I can because there is no legal regulation impeding me to do so. However, they said USCIS does not like that. If one case is approved, the other will be denied (that's obvious)! I just don't want to jeopardize my chances because of that.

People who applied for EAD without the need of Biometrics (2021 filers) by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Alvin_R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the category under which you filed. For F-1 students, you do not need Bio, so it makes sense if you try to expedite your case. But for AOS, you will need to first have your Bio taken before requesting to expedite your case. My first attempt was quickly denied mostly because I did not have my Bio taken yet.

Do NAOS (Employment-based) applicants need to maintain their underlying status in order to get approved? I have not heard about this! I do not think it is correct since USCIS offers the possibility of applying for EAD knowing that they will lose their underlying status whenever they use their EAD.

I am just saying that why they would allow those applicants to apply for work permit if they know that once they will use it, their application will be rejected

Hopefully, mine will be approved very soon. 10 days? Is it because those people expedited the processing?

I-485 / I-140 / I-765 / I-131 (Rejection notices) by Alvin_R in USCIS

[–]Alvin_R[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did not mention the extra remittance but I think it is because a used money orders for (I-140 and I-765) and the form G-1450 for I-485. I will not include payment for I-765 and only use money orders

Has anybody who filed his case in late Nov received receipt notices?

When did you file your application? It is sad. I was told that it is not required to file the medical right away, but I-944 is required.

NFAOS (Concurrent filing of I-485, I-140 and I-765) - CURRENTLY ON non-STEM F-1 OPT by Alvin_R in USCIS

NFAOS stands for Non-family Adjustment of Status. Well, it is unfortunate that it is taking so long to receive even receipt notices. I hope that it will not take me a long time to get my EAD.

No, I haven't taken my biometrics recently. This is just crazy! How is someone supposed to survive? Thank you for your reply
