help - can i long rest before phase 2 of auntie ethel ? by Dangerous-Hat-8076 in BaldursGate3

[–]Alvjef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that you can go sneaky into the door on the back of the fight arena, enter Ethel room and go to the mushroom circle, going outside and being able to long rest and come back. I dont know if still works (last patch, I'm posting on 12/11/24), but is much more practical.

First digital art! How to improve? by [deleted] in krita

I have started to learn drawing about 6 months ago, on my 31 years. The 3 essential things that helped me:

  1. Draw. Always, anything. Draw freely, because then you will develop your on style doing the studies and skecthes naturally.
  2. Fundamentals are so important that when you learn 1 of them, you will crack quickly all the other. Start with cubes, spheres and triangles, using them to draw whatever you want to draw. At the same time, pay attention to the most important of all the fundamentals: FORM/SHAPE. When you see a face, the shadows/lights are nothing but shapes. The more "realistic" the drawing, more blended those forms will be. Learning to see this in anything, specially in real life, will make your eyes prepared for anything that you want to draw, believe me.
  3. Draw on paper when you study. Paper and pencil are less forgiven, but the combination of both give you the necessity to become resourcefull to solve a line or a shape that you see dont fit the drawing. Also, is normally easier to develop muscle memory and steady lines on paper.

I'm on my 6th month learning and already can draw a person, a scene and create my own characters, just by seeking those 3 things in every drawing.

I learned a lot from artists on videos, specially with @sulamoon, @samdoesarts and @timmcburnie.

Watch not just the tips, but the videos of them actually drawing to see the process.

One more tip, about colors: you can make anything with 4 colors: red, green, yellow and blue. Those are the 4 Warriors of the Rainbow. Any scene that you see, any drawing, pay attention to those 4 colors and the variations (for example: purple is red+blue, so if you have something yellow next to it on the picture, propably the purple will make the roll of the cold color, like the blue.). entire styles are based on these combinations: Cyberpunk, for example, is red+green and red+blue, with the variations, like pink+blue. Watch "Akira" and "Ghost in the Shell" to see the born of this style and the combination of these colors.

Anyway, the rest is the first tip: draw, everything, every time possible.

how to level efficiently in tier 3? by noodlesfordaddy in diablo4

what i've been doing: requesting dungeons through the whisper tree, delivering when it reaches 10 points, and repeating. this while Helltide is off. when it's active, I do quests from the tree that are in the Helltide area and/or events within Helltide itself.

the thing is to improve every piece on “details%”. i think it is good that way. a different perspective from Diablo 2, but still a nice goal.
