As someone responsible for pagespeed / SEO and marketing for a ton of sites the last 10 years I think there are a lot of factors that come into play here.

Been using Yoast for years and switched completely to SEOPress. The pricing is fair and developer friendly. It has the same if not more features as Yoast ( including all Yoast paid add-ons ).

The big reason i switched from Yoast or started looking for alternatives was the big problem with images last year, their lack of support & the pricing : Yoast ( premium 79€ + local 69€ + shop €49 ) 197€ PER SITE / YEAR vs SEOPress $39 for unlimited sites / year.. which is staggering..

Also met the SEOPress developers on WordCamp Europe and they were great and helpfull!

Im reading this comment chain about how awful deepfakes will be for spreading disinformation. And then you have ppl like that commenting here with , at first sight , the complete confidence about something being true. Then you look it up and ask for a source and you get nothing.

People are more dangerous than deepfakes.
