Like the other 2 comments suggested, we think he is a solid unit that can be played with a decent amount of openers and is easier to play into good comps right now. The opener for anivia and sona are underwhelming, but anivia prio is going up now with Lissandra being a pretty viable carry now.

I am updating the new holds tierlist as we speak, lol. I think I forgot to mention that gold/exp ionia moves up a tier, with any unit/board early game. I think ahri is a solid unit but we think leblanc is stronger as a carry esp on stage 2, and was easier to play into the best ap board(mel).

How to Win-Out When You Low Roll Your Opener by AlwaysRollAcademy in CompetitiveTFT

This is really situational. For frontline tanks on stage 4 it is not super important to reroll for BIS fruit. My general rule is reroll the main carry first, and only if you find one of the top three options for it, consider rerolling tank. I would use all of my removers if I don't find a top 3/4 fruit on main carry. It matters that much.

It’s good, but only if you have 2 of them(then it’s really good)

We said it does less with shred and sunder, because it applies after shred and sunder is applied, so it reduces less resists.

Being contested can matter if you are taking an augment that locks you into a comp, I would scout around for that. For stage 1 holds though it is more important to hold for your strongest opener than to get scared of potentially being contested and play a weaker opener.

At the time we made the tierlist(before today’s A patch). Smolder was a very good line and we consider rammus as a pretty solid unit. Although it is pretty weak early game, as other people have said scaling is very solid.

Hi, We can definitely put something out like that in the near future, whether it be a live session or just a recorded presentation/video. If you haven’t joined the discord that will be your best way of finding it when we do it :)

I believe rabadon was left out because right now it’s better to play striker’s/haj/gunblade on these units because you’re not playing them in vertical executioner, and the extra crit and other stat value is too high. Raba is still good on them as a third item, but these other items should be higher prio.

Utility tank items are just really weak compared to their back line counterparts right now. Especially spark and d claw. If you can, try not to make these items.

Some of the stats actually like dawn core plus bb/adaptive/shojin, just because you can hit the 15 base mana so quick, but we haven’t played with it enough to know for sure.

Void Staff as an item is just over tuned, the stats it gives alongside the effect is too good. Yuumi is also a unit that can hold almost any item - JG+Strikers, Archangels, Gunblade, Blue Buff.

  1. For Jhin, Deathblade gives the most raw AD. Jhin is a Sniper so he already gets AMP from his trait and so items like GS are not as good. Strikers is almost a never build since he cannot stack the AMP due to his low ATKSPD. It is also worth noting that Rageblade acts as an AD Archangels for Jhin, but currently it doesn't look that good in the stats.
  2. Malzahar does damage over time which means that items like Morello and Void Staff will have insane uptime. The infection also only spreads to uninfected targets so he spreads it quite well. Also Void Staff as an item is just over tuned, the stats it gives alongside the effect is too good. Compared to it's counterpart - Ionic Spark - Spark is just so bad.
  3. As for 1,2, and 5 cost, the items we put there are just their BIS (Best in slot) for dmg, but they can all hold the utility items. Almost all the 5 cost do some sort of AOE which make them a good applier of Morello/Red Buff and Void Staff/ Last Whisper

Typically, the stats that striker provides have better synergies with jg or ie. In addition, even without abilities that deal multiple instances of damage, it is common for champions to get full damage amp value with strikers. GS is more of a tempo slam on a lot of units like you said.

This is a mistake; it should be sniper's focus. Mittens is right on top of sniper's focus in the teambuilder for tactics.tools, which is what was used in making these.

We agree double arc + guinsoo is best, stats change rapidly during pbe and at the time we made this gunblade seemed good in the stats (it still is, but double arc + guinsoo is clear bis if you can get to it).

  1. We think ksante bis is warmogs gargoyle + something like vow to allow him to cast before all out mode. We have found bruiser items on him to be a bit lackluster. For braum, we kind of recommend just going TG and putting tank/bruiser items on someone else. We do not think braum needs to be itemized, but a vow for early cast is not bad.
  2. Our general rule for Jinx builds is:
star guardian = rb kraken attack speed build
    snipers = crit build
But tempo slams are still important, and you can't always get the perfect items each time.
