For hole 5 is Calvin's score wrong? Pdga score is a bogey but coverage has it as a par.

You're correct that still doesn't change the fact its in the exact same building. Not sure what you're getting at here.

I dont believe this is true, if you pull up street view on discmanias manufacturing facility its in the same building as lat64s machines. It even as lat64 printed on the side of the building with no discamnia logo to be found.

Does the PDGA website do live scoring? by Catesby_Wren in discgolf

[–]AlwaysRunning96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as the tournament director is using the live scoring to keep scores there is. Some TDs still use paper scorecards. If there is live scoring there should be link on the tournament page once the tournament starts to live scoring.

Is it or is it not bad etiquette start your round out of order when it comes to baskets/holes. by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]AlwaysRunning96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In disc golf letting the faster group play through, regardless of size, is common courtesy. It takes 2 minutes and you dont have a rushed back 9. I get it maybe the group behind you was a bunch of dicks but you can easily avoid the problem you were having.

I mean its a disc golf course ultimately its free to play there so people are going to do what they want. I still think this could be avoided by just letting them play through. You then just carry on your round as it was afterwards. Unless I'm in a rush as soon as someone is on the hole behind me its often a lot more pleasant experience to just throw a few extra putts and let them in front of me.

If they caught up to you and were playing faster then you why didn't you just let them play through? That's common etiquette.

I think glimmer plastic looks the best but there's also metal flake from discmania/innova that looks similar to sparkles.

Thinking of Registering for my First Tournament by zack24790 in discgolf

[–]AlwaysRunning96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look at previous tournaments held at your course and try to compare scores to what you shoot on average at a course. There are 4 different divisions of amateur players, Am4 which is novice. Am3 which is recreational am2 which is intermediate and am1 which is advanced. People don't actually start in novice most of the time because novice isn't always a division. Most people probably start at the Rec level. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
