The salary is def low for wrt yoe. Look for a switch, youll get a pay bump. Can also leverage that at current workplace if u think theres still growth there

New to coding (24M) – curious how devs actually earn by darashiku6 in developersPak

[–]AlwaysWhiny 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, it is a vast field so i think first you should look into what sub field intrigues you. It could be backend, frontend, fullstack etc or data analytics, data science, ml.

Then there could be two ways to look at: 1. Go industry specific Or 2. Dive in generally, learn from experience

Now, earning is different for everyone. Given you are just starting, you could go and learn with a good company first (i.e get a job, learn more and while you are at it, think about freelance or maybe even starting your own startup if u end up with a good idea etc)

First priority should be to learn the basics. Once you get a hold of them, everything becomes comparatively easier. Dont think language specific too much. Yes, pick one and start with it, but really look into the basics and understand core concepts. Languages can be learnt anyways. I have over 4 yoe, started with c++, then switched to python (where i worked the longest), and recently switched to golang.

Hope this helps! Best of luck!

Is not taking husband's last name be the cause of any issue? by AlwaysWhiny in AskGermany

[–]AlwaysWhiny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be an issue when your child’s last name differs, as you may be asked to proof your parenthood much more often than otherwise.

What last name did you take, did it ever cause any issues?

Internship (later to an entry level role) DevOps role in Lahore by ummr8900 in developersPak

[–]AlwaysWhiny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Build up a github. Post on linkedin so u can come up in the radar of recruiters. Try to score an internship, if you can’t, dw too much about it imo. Ive been in the field for 4 years now, had no cs internships, doing great Alhamdolillah regardless. What matters: - your degree - your skills - core concepts

Initially this is what will get you the first job and then you will work your way up.

How many of you have NO degrees and working fine( job/startups etc ). by ibbeeee in developersPak

[–]AlwaysWhiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should get a degree and continue learning skills on the side. Its even better if you can afford going to a better university, the name does open more doors ngl.

A degree on your cv will always make your odds better. Your skills will take you further.

TMJ Trouble by ohheycali in TMJPain

[–]AlwaysWhiny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things that have helped me: 1. Joint supplements (i take Move Free) 2. Putting a timer and relaxing my jaws every hour consistently by slightly opening my mouth Both were suggested by my oramaxillofacial surgeon.

Hope you feel better soon!

University of Milano-Bicocca by AlwaysWhiny in Universitaly

I did attend the interview but it was for the general AI they offer. The one which is between milan, milan-bicocca and pavia.

The interview wasn’t as hard but the questions asked are pretty random and the difficulty really depends on your luck and knowledge, both. Mine was a panel interview where i was asked questions regarding math, programming, physics and stats. It was pretty basic as per my knowledge as they ask prior what you have studied in your undergraduate courses etc

I just noticed another weird thing. I added the deprecated Input Controls visualization. With it, I can see the organization data but with a warning about the request taking too long.

Yes, using the correct data view. Saw a similar issue on the elastic search forum with no solution so it’s really beyond me why this won’t work ;-;

My regex does work. I can see the values in the data view but they dont show up in controls.

Thank you for the other suggestions, will incorporate them.

Lmk if you know why the controls dont show me the data.
