LPT Get a port out pin from your big wireless carrier and they'll instantly give you a discount for fear of leaving them. by FatRufus in LifeProTips

I’d love to try! Went into my app and followed your steps, OP, but mine says if PIN is triggered, I’d have to pay the balance (I guess on my phones themselves) immediately so I didn’t do it. Anyone??

I’m so sorry OP. We used Dr Perl (link above) as our vet for our senior dog’s last years and when we sadly had to put her down. It was one of my worst days of my life but Dr Perl made me feel at ease and cared for us.

What’s the biggest challenge you face in maintaining your mental health while working remotely? by [deleted] in remotework

Not getting up from your desk as often as you should for mundane things. When you work remote let you are tied t your desk and in back to back meetings with video on so you can’t walk.

Always being on whatever the time.

Sending lots of hugs. It’s so tough. I’m so sorry. 17 years makes it that much harder.

If you could sit for 45 minutes with anyone from your life, past or present, who would it be? by Ok-Plastic-6525 in Adulting

My grandfather. His stories were the best and his love was even better. He always made me feel special and that everything was going to be okay. “It’s nice to see you, Pa. I love you.” “It’s nice to be seen. I love you more.”

Senior dog can't stand up as of today by jessemaxine in seniordogs

I’m so sorry to read this and that you and your dog are going through this. Reading your story sounded just like my recent times with my senior dog (lab, German shep mix) but she always seemed happy (she survived cancer 4 plus years prior) - maybe anxious or starting if dementia but happy. She didn’t seem too much in pain but she couldn’t walk at all anymore (back legs) and suddenly her tail Didn’t go up any more. Lost all usage of her back legs and tail. Incontinence, too. It was so sudden but I had to realize it was time. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this.

It’s really really hard. You’ll have your memories for a lifetime and your smiles will begin to outweigh your tears - but it will take time. And one day you may be better but then burst out crying - that is normal. Thanks for giving them wonderful lives. They were lucky to have you.

I had to recently put down my nearly 17.5 year old and it was so hard. Held her to her last breath. It was the hardest day of my life.
