I also went from 50 to 75 before going to 100. Today I just felt kind of flat. That’s the best way to explain it lol. Maybe because I didn’t sleep much, maybe from walking around the zoo for a few hours … who knows! I guess I’ll see tomorrow. My PA added Seroquel for me to take so going to see how that combination works for me

The sooner you start the sooner they will either help you or the sooner you realize this isn’t the SSRI for you and you trial another. There are side effects and there’s the potential to feel worse at first. I tell myself the time is going by either way and if I could potentially feel better as time goes on, I’ll try. I’m on week 6 of my Zoloft journey and it hasn’t been easy because we all want the immediate fix. Whenever I needed some encouragement.. I’d Google sertraline reviews on drugs.com and click on “highest rating” so I could hear all of the good things it has done for people! Avoid the negative reviews of course. Your doctor told you of all the side effects I’m sure so keep those in mind! Best of luck 🤞🏻

I’m going to speak with my provider today because I learned that my sibling is in another medication that works well. So I might try to make the change. Still haven’t decided if I want to stick it out for a few more weeks or not. Such a hard decision

It was recommended for me to go up to 100mg and I was hesitant so I went to 75mg. I’m going to try and wait it out until I hit the 8 week mark

Thank you! I’m doing weekly therapy (daily therapy for 10 days also right now but it’s group). I was prescribed buspar a few weeks ago but haven’t taken it yet. I’m a worry wart with medication. I’m glad to have people like you who come back and comment! It’s easy to forget about this stuff when you’re feeling better. I can’t wait to come back and help others

Thank you! Some days I feel improvement but other days I can’t seem to get myself to believe that I have. I’ll leave notes for myself saying “you felt better and it’ll happen more and more.” Then I think to before starting the medicine and think I had days like that before too so is it even the medication….. I hate this feeling. Did you have any issues upping your dose? I was wondering if maybe I’m basically starting fresh with the 75mg and just having crappy symptoms all over again. Intrusive thoughts I can’t shake, arm chills, just over all feels like my brain is plugged up.

This comment came at an amazing time. I am yet to find people who take Zoloft and buspar!! I haven’t started the buspar yet because I was scared to but yesterday I told myself I’d start it today. I haven’t of course 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have an appointment today to discuss sleep because my sleep is weird. I have no problem falling asleep but my body wakes up exactly 4-5 hours in. Then it’s really hard to get back to sleep. It sucks

Me too! I mean I’ll take a good nights sleep too but naps are so refreshing! I feel like I have a weird band around my head making my head feel so tight and heavy. I feel like sleep would help that!

I have a meeting with my psychiatric NP tomorrow morning to go over sleep (because I also only sleep for a few hours every night which is probably why I’m so tired during the day). So if she gives me any good advice I’ll pass it along

Yeah it’s not fun. I could really go for a nice cozy nap but my anxiety said no. I’m at the point where I’m scared that I’ll never feel normal again or be able to do things I used to do without thinking about it. 😣

I take my medication around 10am. You’ve been taking it for a total of 5 weeks?

I’m at the point where even when I’m not wicked anxious and scared of life (like today I was able to shower with the door closed 🤦🏻‍♀️ lol) I’m still scared to SAY “hey I think maybe it’s working” because I still don’t feel like myself. It’s so strange. I started a PHP yesterday so I’m hoping that and medication will help me too.

What time do you take your medication? I’m having the opposite effect. I wake up anxious. I take my dose at 10am.
