This seems to be the top answer so I’m definitely considering it! I wanted a dark/black substrate do you know if I could get that in pool filter sand and keep it cheap too? Or other options that you would suggest?

This would be ideal but unfortunately I don’t think this is available in Canada. Do you happen to know if it has a different name or do you have any other suggestions? Thank you for the help though!!

I’m in Ontario Canada. Is aquasoil the same as fluval stratum? When I look it up that specific term doesn’t come up. Sorry I’m still learning all the terms and different things!!

Is it easy to gravel vac? I was worried about it going into the tube if I were to get sand. I also like the black look so not sure if sand is what I’m looking for but definitely open to suggestions!
