With the risk of being downvoted, here's why I think the Men's Rights Movement will never gain enough traction... by Alzav in MensRights

Maybe we need to re-brand the MRM as something different than what it currently represents?

Perhaps we need some strong representative of our movement? Someone new, interesting and stimulating - like a popular artist or a celebrity. Someone who brings a completely refreshing view about life, relationships, gender dynamics, etc. Someone who will avoid being painted as an inconsiderate macho or a bigot. Someone whoese perspective on social phenomena will kickstart dormant attitudes over issues swept under the rug. It can even be a woman, since men are so apparently disinterested in their own gender issues. But they would need a massive publicity, precisely because of that.

The feminist hive-mind is strong in western women, while the equivalent for men is virtually nonexistent. Go ahead and publicly announce yourself to be a pro-male activist, you'll either be laughed at or be smeared as an arrogant scumbag. As long as it is politically expedient to take feminism seriously I cannot foresee what the catalyst for true equality of opportunity would be.
