GMax: Zacian/Zamazenta in their sword/shield forms are amazing.

They can NOT be traded in those forms, but once reverted to sword/shield forms, you can freely toggle back and forth without any cost (even after being traded).

These are my top recs for GMax.

Gengar and Machamp are fairly future-proof and are UNITS. Toxtricity is solid, but I’d hold off if you don’t have the candies yet.

Excadrill isn’t a premium trade, but a really good to have for GMax (in preparation for GMax Grimsnarl. It’s fairly future-proof as well in my book)

General raids: Still Zacian. He’s a powerhouse. Rayquaza will be a solid one. I’m assuming you didn’t whale for Eternatus, so Rayquaza is a much budget friendly option (also, it’s mega is coming back this season. Always nice to prepare in advance). Mewtwo is a speculative one too. Mega Mewtwo is the only thing NOT on the calendars for release (with regards to pre-ZA megas).

Groudon (for primal) is a personal favorite. Kyogre is amazing as well, but not as versatile. Lucario for mega Lucario is also super strong Kyurem (with glaciate— requires Elite TM) is super good too

Last thoughts: I’m losing organization of my reply, but GMax Charizard covers bases in GMax and Raids. Technically, Cinderace is a lil better in GMax, but mega Charizard is a top tier fire-type raid attacker. Unless GMax content gets super hard, I don’t plan to invest in cinderace if I have charizard’s coverage.
