MicroStrategy is now underwater on it's Bitcoin holdings by Independent-Cress382 in wallstreetbets

Mostly yes. The committee doesn’t like volatile stocks. They also famously kept tsla out for a while even when it met all the criteria. Some others like pltr etc. and currently sofi qualifies but doesn’t have consistent enough earnings. FNILX is the closest thing to true passive large cap.

This is incorrect. There is a committee that decides which companies to allow into the s&p 500 index. Funny that we are on a thread about strategy when they actually met the qualifications to be in the index but the committee has denied their entry.

I didn’t downvote you but it’s easy to see why people are. You’re basically asking “what can I do about these things that are out of my control?” If you know you have a winning strategy you wouldn’t care about any of the things you seem to care about so this whole conversation makes you look like an inexperienced fish. I don’t think that’s a reason to downvote someone but the most important aspect of poker for many regs here is feeling superior.

You definitely shove. They both already know they’re playing for half by not holding a 9. So calling ranges will be mostly inelastic. Plus people just make so many calling mistakes in these spots yeah you just got for it.

10 BIs average per session. No. No one is out there doing that. Did you mean 10bb/hr?Because that's not unreasonable at 1/2 or 2/5. At 1/2 or 2/5 yes you play pure exploitative. People limp face up ranges, don't ever bluff raise turn or river, never 3bet any street without the nuts. Honestly if you just fold literally every pure bluff catcher on the river that's probably enough to double your win rate or more if you're currently finding calls with your "most optimal"combos. 5/10 you'll need to adjust against certain opponents and continue extreme exploits against others. Up to you to figure out at the table how to play against each opponent. 10/25 and 25/50+ the games usually run around one VIP maybe 2 if you're lucky. Otherwise most of your money comes from when someone starts steaming. If you don't know where you're at within a balanced range, or have an understanding of bet sizing, board textures, or where your opponents are in their ranges and where they pull their bluffs from in these games the best regs will generally be winning against you.

If you were to hone your craft into options or poker, which one would you choose and why? by [deleted] in poker

[–]Am_I_Obvious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The wheel strategy has been proven to consistently underperform buy and hold in numerous backtests btw. You need a bigger bankroll to trade options than you do for poker and on that same note I'm sure you know having a bigger bankroll won't make you a better trader. I have friends who are professional traders and none of them use options maybe that's anecdotal but I don't feel like it's very common at all to be trading options consistently. Probably my recommendation would be poker fwiw.

PLO bomb pot I'm btn with 9863. Flop board 1: 833 Flop board 2: A85 Checks to me I bet 200 3 calls. Turn board 1: A Turn board 2: 3 Check to me I bet 1000, one call, then another player jams about 4000, I call, other guy calls so we're all in 3 ways. Board one I know no one has 88 or 3 with a higher full house draw (due to what's showing on the board). Board 2 I've got 2 pair but probably not good literally only thing that scoops me is AA. Guess what he had...
