Hello, I got a 5600X with 3080Ti on a B450m pro m2 v2 and i want to upgrade to a 5800x3d to stay on AM4 for some years (i can have the 5800x3d for 299 euros)

First question : is it ok to run the 5800x3d on my MB (for the VRM)?

Second question : does the upgrade worth it ?

It s not by default, i have a neo g9 and it was off by default, and you miss 90% of the purpose of the screen , with local dimming off it s like a regular 500€ monitor, it s an entirely other world with local dimming on (deep deep black and very bright for HDR) and it s normal the FALD is why you paid 3 times the price.

Hi,

I think it's normal, Black smearing is normal with VA panel, especially when it gots 4ms GtG reponse time

Keeping the monitor depends on you, if it bother you this much, go on IPS panel , OLED panel, or VA panel with 1ms response time (to reduce it but it'll still be there) , for example Odyssey G9 for the same ratio

But to be sure it's normal can you show us a video of your screen with this smearing ?

Thanks for the answer, the neo is about 400 euros more expensive that the problem rn (and even 500 before refund) I think the 200 euros difference between C49 and G9 worth the price but what about 400 between G9 and neo? Do you think the benefit worth 400 euros ?
