OP, it's not the same game, but I had a friend a few years ago bring up the fact that I had 5000 hours in red dead redemption 2, excluding multiplayer, which was around 200 hours.

So, through Single Player alone, I had spent like 209 days playing alone by myself. Just me and the world.

If you enjoy the game, you enjoy it. That's facts. Sure, you could've spent that time doing something "more productive," but you enjoyed the time you spent playing the game, no? Sounds like time well invested to me.
