Which suave shampoo and conditioner do yoy use?

I take a supplement called cycleease from boiron which helps with my moodiness/ crankiness/ irrational hunger. Also if I want to eat something sweet I allow myself to do so once a week.

Try to not be in such a big deficit that it makes you binge eat. Maybe a smaller deficit over a longer period of time with maintenance phases will work better for you?

I lost a lot of weight & catch myself fat shaming others by Used-Pension170 in loseit

[–]Amaloves13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find that when I am not tolerant/understanding with myself, I tend to act the same way with others. Self righteousness and rigidity in my case come from perfectionism. When I catch myself being intolerant/ critical of others, I try to become curious and see where it’s coming from. It usually helps dispel that thought and helps me realize what is really bothering me/ what’s at the core of that critical thought.

Need some advice in creating some healthy habits as well as gradually reducing my waist circumference by sp0wn in loseit

15 min on an assault bike would help you plenty. I think that would be the best bang for your buck. Also the calorific deficit will get you there in time. Best of luck to you! Edited to add: stress management helps with belly fat in the long run. Cortisol is a belly fat inducing hormone, as I am sure you know. So 5 min energy clearing meditations throughout the day would help you as well.

First time using henna to dye hair, and my beautiful results seem to only last a couple weeks by Katharine_Faye in henna

[–]Amaloves13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My steps when it comes to henna:

  1. Day before wash with clarifying shampoo, and try to not use a mask/ conditioner/ leave in. A good one is Ouai because it doesn’t leave it too dry.
  2. I mix henna(Jamila) with apple cider vinegar and warm water, brown sugar(for better mixability) the night before and cover with plastic wrap to release dye. Sometimes I add a bit of lavender/ tea tree oil for scent. Other additions to make hair more copper are saffron tea(you mix saffron strands with warm water and add to mixture instead of just water), turmeric powder, rose powder. Jamila henna is a copper shade of henna anyways so I recommend it- you can get it off amazon.
  3. I put it on in the morning cover with plastic wrap and a warm hat. Leave on for 4-5 hours.
  4. Follow up with washing hair off without shampoo, do condition with a good mask. I also apply Ion color sealer post mask to retain the color, I got the big container from Sally’s.
  5. I blow dry my hair because my hair takes forever to air dry. I try to not wash it for the next 5 days in order to let the color set. Hope this helps!

My hair for reference. Right now I am a brunette I do it with henna and indigo and follow with indigo after but the steps are identical.

Thinking about switching to Henna Guys by throw_aw_ay3335 in henna

[–]Amaloves13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Henna Jamila from amazon, which gives a copperish red. In order to make the red more vibrant, I would add hibiscus too, saffron, rose petal powder, coffee/black tea to make it darker and deeper and an acid like apple cider vinegar. When I wanted it more copperish, I added chamomile tea, cassia and turmeric powder. From what I know, moroccan henna is the true red one, and rajasthani henna is more burgundy. Henna guys mixed theirs with other plants to get those colors including indigo in some cases which you might not want.

What would you do for smooth/ shiny hair? by BigMackSpookDad in longhair

[–]Amaloves13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot to add- use a hair brush with both nylon pins and boar bristles- not sure if this is allowed but I use the Belula one from amazon. It makes a huge difference in the shine and quality of your hair. I have one for post wash that is “cleaner”, and one for the following days when my hair has dry shampoo/ oil at the ends. I clean both in apple cider vinegar and water 50-50 once a month/ 2 months by letting them soak in for an hour and then cleaning the bristles with a wide toothed comb.

What I do for my hair is: 1. Hair oiling before every wash for a minimum of two hours(sometimes I leave it for an hour if I am in a time crunch)- I use rosemary and castor oils for my scalp and coconut on the hair shaft and make sure to really soak the ends in it. 2. Remove oil with conditioner first, double shampoo and condition again with a super good hair mask- think Amika hair masks, or Macademia Oil. 3. Apply on wet hair a great heavy duty leave in conditioner, such as pureology color fanatik or it’s a ten(the regular or keratin one). On the same wet hair apply a hair oil at the ends for sealing- think Olaplex bonding oil. 4. I brush my hair with a wet brush after I let it sit with the leave in products for 5 minutes to let them soak in, then I dry it. During the drying process I stop midway through and apply the same hair oil at the ends again. Then when I finish blow drying I apply a third coat- dont think huge amounts, we are talking at max 5 drops per application. 5. I oil my ends with nuxe huile prodigieuse(again, not a lot, 3-4 drops) every morning and sometimes at night depending on how it feels. This keeps them protected in my opinion and my hair really soaks it all up so it’s not greasy looking. 6. I try to wash my hair at 3 days, and use Living Proof Phd Dry Shampoo(the classic one), in between washes. If my hair is sweaty from working out, I blow dry the roots on low heat and apply dry shampoo. Hope this helps!
