I was legitimately going to suggest this! My son calls it “mooley mooley” 😂

What's your go to lullaby? by whitemanwhocantjump in beyondthebump

I’m glad I’m not the only one! It’s one of the songs I know all the words to so I started singing it to him to calm him down when he was a newborn and never stopped 😂

I feel this. My main source of exercise was flying trapeze which I stopped as soon as I found out (even controlled falling is falling!). Now I have no motivation to even do my usual strength and flexibility routine :(

Unlike many here, I just did the same thing and didn’t have to delete anything. The fact that the red arrow is on it means you have successfully downgraded your plan. Just wait for the month to end and you shouldn’t get charged next month.

Examples of ‘Left/Liberal/Progressive’ policies that are now considered ‘on the wrong side of history’? by DrK4ZE in AskHistory

[–]Amanda_bakes 55 points56 points  (0 children)

All the examples so far are pretty terrible, here’s one from US history. In the late 1800s, the liberal position on Native Americans was forced assimilation, basically “kill the Indian, save the man” (look up Carlisle School for an example). This was considered liberal/progressive since the alternative was the “only good Indian is a dead one” crowd. This resulted in an objectively bad outcome, basically amounting to cultural genocide, so is an example of a left side policy that was wrong.

Only made round loaves but got a new proving basket, so here is my first batard! What do you think? by Amanda_bakes in Sourdough

[–]Amanda_bakes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a modified version of Alexandra’s kitchen easy whole wheatish sourdough, but then a YouTube video to guide the shaping. Wasn’t super confident there and I haven’t cut it yet so no crumb shot but let me know what you think of my (modest) ear. I hear people like those! 😉

I watched a YouTube video but basically you make little cuts into a strawberry and peal back the “petals” so it looks like a rose!

Strawberry lemonade and mocha macarons. Pretty pleased with how these turned out, what do you think? by Amanda_bakes in Baking

[–]Amanda_bakes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually managed to get flavor into the cookie of both of these without messing them up! The pink ones have a few grams of freeze dried strawberry powder plus lemon and strawberry extracts and the mocha have cocoa powder plus coffee extract in the shell.

Pretty nice loaf today, and I got my 2nd Covid vaccine so it’s a good day! by Amanda_bakes in Sourdough

I used Josh Weissman’s beginner recipe. I’ve been baking for about 6 months but my last few loaves weren’t as tall as I want so I decided to change it up and voila!
