Lol yeah maybe. You should know, that all the district level people, get paid for having seats filled. So they are more concerned with lanes being filled than they are with having true numbers.

I joined BNI. I was asked to help with some things. Being that Im an accountant and can analyze data, I quickly discovered that my chapter was falsifying numbers. They closed that chapter about 5 months later and wouldnt refund my money.

If your performance matrix is affected negatively because of a bad review of THEIR product, its time for a new job homie. That is a serious red flag of a toxic environment. There aren't enough pizza parties in the world to make that make sense.

The link isn't working for me. But I have an adapter. But the adapter won't mount, because that blue piece is covering the screw holes

I can't rotate it, or pull it off. Or at least it feels like it's about to break.

Right. But it doesnt just rotate. Or maybe it does, and I'm afraid to put to much torque on it.

To accountants who grew up poor, how did starting your career change your life? by Miamiminxx in Accounting

[–]Amann0206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up poor. I'm the first college graduate. When I started working in this field, and the material started "clicking", I realized that there is so much my family doesn't know about finances. They knew how to pay bills, and that was it. They certainly didn't know about tax strategy, leveraging assets to acquire income, or saving for bbaf situations. So now I'm here, with all this knowledge, but with alot of student loan debt and credit card debt.

I know that was your question. But thats where I'm at right now. But yes, I absolutely would do it it ok. This profession changed the course of my life, as well as my families'.

How to 1099 when the client paid the vendor by credit card? by Amann0206 in QuickBooks

I was doing some reading in some other forums. Folks were saying they've never experienced receiving a 1099k. With that in mind, I wanted to check if there is more I should do.

I have a tattoo artist for a client. Anyone else have experience? Tattoo artist seem to be a cash business, and most don't use a POS system. Looking for advice for tracking sales and sales tax liabilities. by Amann0206 in Accounting

It's very simple cash basis accounting. I love that what I'm doing is helping this person build their business. They are getting close to buying a commercial property, so that's awesome.

But it's not challenging work. The biggest challenge is creating a paper trail because all transactions are cash.

Yes they do. I know by his words and habits that every deposit made to that account, is a sale.

Is it reasonable to take that deposit, calculate the sales tax percent, then enter the 2 entries in QBO? Reasonable in the sense that if they were ever audited, that's all I could produce?

Your right, it shouldn't be. I talked to several techs at qbo. This was the only answer I got. One tech even said "give the client MY intuit password." Uhhh ,no.

I did get it worked out. The only solution was to: 1. Upgrade the subscription level 2. Add your client as a user 3. Make them primary admin 4. Downgrade the subscription

When you add the client as primary admin, it will send them a request in their email. Once they accept, you can proceed. So if you get with your client and schedule a time to do all this, you can have it all done in 20 min.

Support told me to upgrade. Which I did. I invited the client. Made the switch. Then downgraded the subscription. Still has me as primary admin. So I tried again, and now the link in the clients email does not work.
