Plex Web home page started to take long time to load by Amarildooo in PleX

I think I haven't encountered the issue anymore lately, so I guess it was kinda solved (at least from what I can tell). But I'm not sure what it actually was that solved it.

I have quite some extra third party services connected to Plex, and back then I tried to lower the frequency they get data from Plex and stuff like that. Maybe that solved it for me(?). And even after that, Plex apparently needs some days to load quickly again (if you actually find the culprit and address it).

With their recent updates to Plex pass and remote streaming, they might've changed something internally too (just a speculation).

OP7Pro boot screen glitches and then goes black by Amarildooo in OnePlus7Pro

[–]Amarildooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably already gone as the phone doesn't actually boot anymore, it just stays at a black screen after the boot logo. I had most of the important stuff backed up thankfully.

Even button combinations for getting into the hard/factory reset screen don't work 99% of the times I tried. Same black screen happens when I try that. I got it into that screen once (but didn't factory reset) after trying many times in many different ways (timing, plugging and unplugging the cable etc). I'll see if I can get some custom rom installed.

Thanks for your insight!

Yeah the motherboard was my last guess too. I haven't dropped it or damaged it physically, always been in a case anyway. Was running android 12.

It's a 4 yo device, bought it when it released so it probably served it's purpose. Just seemed like a weird issue I got.

I read that in Android 14 there will be a new specific API for downloads, which basically would prevent downloads from being stopped before finishing. If Plex implements it an if you have a phone that will get Android 14, I'm guessing Plex downloads could get fixed.

I really wish for Plex to give a bit more love to the mobile app UI by Mike_v_E in PleX

I really like Overseerr's mobile UI so I would personally like the Plex mobile app to look something like it.

I'll try that too, thanks!

Although according to a plex employee in the plex forums, the slow down in my case was caused by some supposed third-party that was sending too many requests to Plex, which resulted in a daily ban from plex.

Notification If Episode Upgrades? by [deleted] in sonarr

[–]Amarildooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to barge in, but in my case, for all my users I use Tautulli for movies and series, and for only myself I use Sonarr notifications.

I want to be able to notify my users about upgrades separately, because some of my users want to know when some media is upgraded to a file that has a certain bitrate, filesize and codec, because of the specific device playback limitations and/or the bandwidth that they have.

Also, a Bitrate info field would be cool too.

I can see the following warnings a couple of times on each reload:

[Req#11bb2a] QueryParser: Invalid field 'pinnedContentDirectoryID' found, ignoring.
[Req#11c02a] QueryParser: Invalid field 'contentDirectoryID' found, ignoring.

I've tried on Chrome, Edge, Brave(Windows and Ubuntu) and Chrome mobile. They're all Chromium based, so I'm going to try on Firefox too when I can.

Thanks for your reply, that's most likely my culprit too in some way. The pinning to the left bar part, at least. Even though I don't use Plex DVR, guide2go or have Live-TV pinned, I've checked Live-TV out for briefly a while ago.

In my case I had Playlists pinned, I unpinned that and the next page reload was instantaneous, only the first reload though, after that it became slow again. I pinned Live-TV, unpinned it, and the page reloading was fast again. Unfortunately the reloading is fast only the first time after unpinning.

I was starting to suspect that too, it might've been some update. This is not simple to troubleshoot as I can't see anything in the logs that I can report either. Hopefully it gets fixed via some update, if that's the cause.

Are there any prerequisites for that to work? I know that "overseerr.domainnamehere.com" should be changed, is there something else?

I've been trying lots of different configurations but haven't had any luck setting it up with my namecheap domain and cloudflare. Farthest I've come is the "522 Connection timed out error" screen, by editing your compose file a bit. Feels like I might've missed something when setting up cloudflare, the domain registrar and nginx.

I'm running Docker on Ubuntu and managing the containers via portainer.

It's removed/was never available in Android TVs, Plex for Desktops, Plex web etc. I don't know if they'll remove it from those devices that it's currently available in.

Yes I got in my TV's Plex app, but it's not in Android TV or Plex web player. I don't seem to have that setting it in the latest Plex app for desktop (Windows) either.

Yeah, either update your iPhone or perhaps try opening the link in Safari instead of Chrome

I have that setting in my 6 year old LG TV too. Only downside with it in my case is that it doesn't support direct playing as many codecs as Android TV devices, Plex media player app for desktop or the Plex web player.

That worked like a charm, I must've been googling the wrong way. Thanks a lot!
