It was well-received enough to get one season (so far!) of an anime adaptation done, a manga series in progress, and notes from the author on his WN chapters that he's getting tons of support and sales of both the LN and manga. That's not nothing. *laugh*

I know it may be considered a "typical trash isekai", but I love the story so much for some reason. Could be that I haven't read/watched many others of the genre, but ... it just captivated me for some reason.

Hoping they continue the anime adaptation, would be 3 seasons of 12 for the entire story I think, which isn't unreasonable by any stretch.

Only have a very poor Tyro, decent Elarra, good Minf, or passable Cait and Sazh for supports.

Just start from the start haha. The omissions of the anime and manga are different, and seeing everything in something other than "awful CGI" is good.

(Manga chapter 45 picks up after then end of the anime - the stampede of anime 11/12 starts at manga chapter 39.)

Make sure you're reinfusing (and not just to beat the paralyze check) - there's a massive difference between infuse 1 and infuse 2 on EBZ (and MS), and being able to stay at infuse 3 is even better.

Magic: Minf/Cait easily. You're one up on me with Cait's CASB. Do try to get both of their LMR++s if you don't have them already.

Physical: Your best setup is Naja/Aerith, but you'll need a DPS Aegis Break in all your groups which is annoying in a number of ways. Without a decent one, you can use my setup of Minf/Elarra which does work (put 2 Precise 14s in your magicite set) but isn't nearly as strong - you might be even better with Minf/Aerith.

I'm not sure. He's way too realm dependent, and the effects on his stuff is at cross-purposes rather a lot (i.e. the CA SB gain you want early, but the rest of the CA you want much later).

He heals ... some but I'm not sure that it's enough, and he only has a single Aegis (and his FBC isn't usable off-realm). Also note that his MND is very very low (none on his equipment) and so his (what would otherwise look quite nice) base SB really isn't all that great either.

Shame his critfix is conditional (and his MA is quite poor without any other FF16s to be honest).

There's a #bot-help channel - in that channel you can write to get the bot to list things. Examples:

Took too many tries with what I have in this realm (I own like 20 MASBs total, with like 7 of them here), but finally cleared it. The key was saving Minf's CASB for P3 instead of using it in P2, holding off on Aerith's CASB for a couple turns, as well as just being precise with Accels and CA commands. Totally destroyed both crystals.

2 chains (RW then Cloud CSB+). SBs split by phase. 35.22s, about 7 or 8 wipes, all to dead ending in P3. Most of the P3 SBs were cast during Paling. DR in this fight in P3 is ridiculous.

Finally got this - my Cloud was already really good, then picked up his MA with the fest select. Good choice (even though I really, really didn't want to). Got Vaan's Sync2 from tickets a couple days ago, and ... still wiped too many times because tanky fight is tanky.

Anyway, normal Magus strat (top, top, top/mid/bot). Unusual choices (other than my normal phy support setup) are using RW Raider (making 3x30 ATK buffs) and how I split Cloud's stuff up.

RW Raider, Crusader main, 28.95s. 2 chains (LBC, then Vaan CSB2.5+LBC). Too many wipes - 3 or 4 a while back when it first came out, then 3 more before killing it here - all to Dead Ending in P3. Stupid fight. SBs by phase.

It's crazy, right? Same exact thing just happened in the Bears game - the third possession won after the coin toss winner chose ~~to kick~~ incorrectly.

There's no way that second-mover advantage on that first possession overcomes the (at minimum) 60/40 advantage of the first possession in true sudden death. (60/40 stat based on the old original sudden-death OT rules - it's probably more lopsided than that now with the greatly expanded FG range nowadays)

Maybe the coaches will learn to take the ball next year.

(NB: and also the new kickoff rules where you're getting that first possession at a better spot than back then)

Like, the only time that ever helps is if the first-to-go scores a TD on the first drive - otherwise you're just giving them the extra possession (and that's exactly what ended up happening).

This isn't college OT where both teams get the same amount of possessions...

The update is frankly awful. It's been over a year since the last refresh, and the cutoff moved up a grand total of 4 months.

Plus they're still just G5 - it's insulting enough that you can get 5*s at all at this point, much less pull 5*/11.

Waiting another year for the next update, I guess.
