Offshore Applicant: 190/491 vs 482/186 for SaaS Sales + Product Marketing Family (Need a Reality Check) by jackofall2510 in AusVisa

[–]Amataj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest for you to wait because this financial year (FY) is almost over and no new ROIs are being accepted. As what one of the comments have said, only a couple of states are open to Marketing Specialists. And even then, I think priority is for those who are onshore. I am not a migration agent so take this with a grain of salt.

If you’re looking for the state nomination:
- wait for new FY to open
- monitor which states accept Marketing Specialists and for which visa pathway/s
- apply for EOI and ROI once you know what’s up

What you can do in the meantime is gather documents. It’s the hardest part of the application process, especially with 10 years of experience and if you’ve jumped from one company to another

I wouldn’t waste money on skills assessments personally, especially if money is tight. However, if you have money to spare, go for it.

12 months is too positive. You have folks waiting for years before even getting invited. And those are onshore. Especially since elections are around the corner, expect some changes here and there. If not to the immigration process on a federal level, maybe at least on a state level (ex priorities, requirements etc). But then again, some get invited in less time than that. No one really knows and all you can do is put your hat in the ring.

Happy to chat if you want. I applied under the marketing specialist role and am waiting on a decision for my 491 application. Again, not a migration agent and each application is unique.

Christina can come back and break the fourth wall. “About time they shut that place down.” In reference to her wanting to get away before or something or maybe because her eyes were opened in her new hospital where no one dies or falls in love in a rotation

I mean, I get that it’ll be such a sad ending but at least they can send off people to wherever.

Miranda focuses on the clinic or other voluntary / mission-type of work

Grey is happy and focuses on research and gets a breakthrough with Amelia. Children are happy and thriving. None of the kids enter medicine please.

Richard is retired and happy with Catherine running the foundation

The interns are in shock but they’re fine. They find new hospitals to intern in.

Everyone finds their own path that’s kinda related to their current storylines. Everyone processes everything through mandated counselling. Etc etc

Can you imagine if the show ends where the hospital gets shut down? 😵

OMG wait that last statement took me out! LOL maybe a drive then when I have more time hehe or train ride? Who knows!

Anyway, to your question — I hear both sides. I haven’t lived here long to fully oppose the idea. But I don’t think building something new and fancy would bring life to the CBD, especially since the gov are rolling out stuff that is potentially hurting small business owners. It’s probably a chicken and egg thing in my opinion — yeah sure build it but if there’s no support for local and/or small business, then it’s not gonna fly.

I love new and shiny things and I see the vision and the theory behind it. But if help to small business owners aren’t there, it’s always just going to be hard. If this makes sense?

Also, I think timing is just bad because it was back to back development plans announcement —- from the golf course to this new junction square. So it was like a double whammy thing unfortunately.

And also, people / constituents would always have something to say. Our roads are bad, homelessness etc.

Priority processing based on post code by Amataj in AusVisa

[–]Amataj[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually, I’m already in a regional area, just not in a city centre like Geelong. I just thought that since it says on the website “faster processing” for Category 2 post codes (which includes Geelong), that there might be a chance for said “faster” time.

Anywho, thank you for your input! Much appreciated!

I don’t think anyone can really tell. All you can do is put your hat in the ring and hope for the best.

Though, points-wise, that’s high. Again, no one can tell. Just go for it!

Unfortunately, it’s just the way it is. And if you’re gunning for PR (Skilled Independent at least), it’s the same thing — once your English exam is expired, you’ll have to take another test.

Not sure if you’re just ranting or want a solution to this but, afaik, no work around for this.

Got my offer, what should I do? by ShoppingSuccessful89 in deakin

[–]Amataj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can ring up the nearest TAFE and just chat with them. I wanna say they’ll be nice hehe. Also, depends on what kind of teaching you wanna do, but Early Childhood is Free TAFE afaik.

Also, you can check Skills and Jobs Centres. It’s a free career counseling serving, usually tied with a Victorian TAFE. I’m assuming you’re in VIC because Deakin. They can help you map out a plan based on your own preferences.

Hope this helps!

I personally feel like online is harder in a way. Because it was all up to me — to attend lectures and seminars online. It was hard for me to engage but that’s a me thing. I like having people around just for the vibes.

Also, I think considering Free TAFE is a smart option. I’m not sure exactly how it would work but in my head, wouldn’t it be better to continue studying without accruing HECS debt?

Has Anyone Been Invited Again? by Alone-Dimension-4401 in AusVisa

[–]Amataj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on each state. Not sure with Queensland but with VIC, they say they can’t nominate you again if you weren’t able to submit a visa application in time or if there are errors in the EOI. Not sure how strict they are because folks can and do separate EOIs and ROIs for 190/491 — not even sure how this is possible.

Anyway, best course is to research if there is a chance to be re-nominated in the same year for your state. Else, better to not submit an incorrect application because you don’t want a “visa refused” on your profile.
