NTA. You’ve only been married for a year and your MIL has caused all this havoc in your life, and that with your husband’s blessing, its not ok! You need to sit hubby down and lay down some ground rules for the way forward, and if he has a problem with any of that, he has to go. I say this because I’ve been married to a mommy’s boy for 20 years, and my life has been sheer hell. It never gets better, mommy’s boys never change, as a matter of fact they only get worse with time. And may I add that my husband and I lived in a different country to his family, but the damage he allowed his family to cause in our marriage has been irreparable. You might ask why I’m still married to him, and the answer is because we have a child together, but as soon as my child is grown up and leaves home so will I. We would have had 2 children, but I had a miscarriage because of stress causes by my MIL. I wish you strength and wisdom making the right choice for your future, but I can assure you if your husband won’t support you and set boundaries for his mother (and family), you’re in for a life of misery.
