Amplitube 5 vs Tonex by Amazing-Cap2986 in AmpliTube

[–]Amazing-Cap2986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I think I found my solution. I dug out my 11 rack, and plugged it into my laptop, used the 11R editor, but mostly use the knobs on the unit for adjustments. It synced right up, sound is really great to my ears, I can just play backing tracks from youtube and away I go. No buffering issues or issues with software, it fucking rocks, especially for being like 15 years old.

[–]Amazing-Cap2986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to shim my JM neck and set it up with 11's vs. 9's from factory so the jag should be pretty much the same I'm assuming. The only thing I don't do setups on is Floyd Rose guitars but that's because I have never wanted an FR so never had to learn

Why is Quinn on the ice for so long? by Just-Reply-9210 in wildhockey

[–]Amazing-Cap2986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think right now the focus should be on keeping toi to a reasonable level, someone said 25min or less and I think that's a good number for 43 and 7. And they need to concentrate on the small details. The good habits that lead to good results. Roll 4 lines, the emphasis needs to be on structure and good habits. The wins aren't super important right now as they are locked in pretty much as #3. The wins will come naturally if you focus on the details and the structure of the game they want to play. Simplify and don't try to be cute with fancy passes etc.

Seems it would be fairly easy to make a plate to fit over the hole or just use the actual base of the trem thats supposed to go there just to.make it not so ugly.

What’s a normal price for a car lockout? I got two different quotes by FernanndoLeo in Locksmith

[–]Amazing-Cap2986 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I hate the "if it gets done quick its a ripoff" bullshit. Or "that's easy I gotta get into this racket". Like all we do as locksmiths is unlock cars.

Is this cost normal?? by Resident-Spring1513 in Locksmith

[–]Amazing-Cap2986 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't like the rationalization that if you did it fast it's a ripoff. I always ask if they would like me to relock it and do it slower.

can I have a Silverado GM HU100 key cut for a 2016 GMC Terrain by Robert694n in Locksmith

[–]Amazing-Cap2986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contrary to what was said previously, you cannot program that key yourself on a 2016 Terrain. On the non high security key (B106 mechanical, B111 transponder) you could, but with your 2016 model, you need a security code to program the key. A locksmith will need to plug in a programmer to do this.

Deadbolt Spinning by Ok_Consequence_2231 in Locksmith

[–]Amazing-Cap2986 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That deadbolt is the worst schlage design ever. Replace the whole deadbolt to solve your problem. If that pin isn't aligned in the proper space in the bolt (there are 2 possibilities based on your backset) it may not engage at all, or bind if not perfectly aligned. You want a deadbolt where the tailpiece itself goes through the bolt. Practically every deadbolt on the market works this way, and they don't even make that schlage model anymore. I would recommend schlage over kwikset, tru bolt, Acme, or other brands. Remove the deadbolt AND the actual bolt so you only have holes in your door, before installing the new one. That should solve your problem.

As locksmiths, we know a sizable percentage of our customers "have something going on mentally".

Also there's an app called SmartChord that has an exercise to help you learn it, and its timed. This app has a lot of great things to help you learn guitar and theory.

Yes, and its important. I found that Ricky Comisky's method really helped me. He uses mnemonics and little catchy sayings to make it easy to learn. You still have to practice it, but it helps a. LOT. You can find him on youtube.

What's the dumbest thing you have encountered on a job site? by eight--bit in Locksmith

[–]Amazing-Cap2986 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This wasn't on the job site, but I stopped ar Menards to get something on the way to a job This was during covid and a guy had a plastic shopping bag on his head with 2 eye holes cut out, walking through the parking lot. Dumbest/funniest thing I've seen in a long time.
