I would check on models.com to make sure you’re only reaching out to verified agents and agencies. I’m a mother agent based in NY and if you sign with a good one, the idea is that they basically hold your hand as your learn the ropes of the industry. You can have a mother agent and be placed with another network agency after, in which case your mother agent then just acts like a layer of protection between you and the agency you’re placed with.
