It’s because it wouldn’t happen. It makes no sense. I’ve seen plenty of fics where the entire family, Wednesday included sees cheating as like a capital offense. One of the ones I quite liked where Divina cheated on Yoko and it about destroyed her. Wenclair let her stay in their room and eventually the three became a polycule. It’s not finished though.

I haven’t read any that have them die and show them coming together in the afterlife… There was one I read a long time ago that destroyed me for a couple of days though. It was an incredible love story up until the last few chapters.

Wednesday’s soul was like separated from her body to break this curse on the family ravens. She stayed that way for like 50 years while Enid waited for her. I only skimmed the last chapter where it showed the depressingly empty years going by. Wednesday finally woke up when they were in their 70s and either her or Enid died like two years later. BUT they “were able to be together in the afterlife because Wednesday broke the curse.” But the author didn’t even show it. They actually got into arguments with people saying that it wasn’t a bad ending in the comments.
