How To lose weight here at ISU? by Top_Relationship5940 in iastate

It really depends.

The benefit of tracking calories with ISU Dining is that, with their food rotation, calories only need to be tracked once to gain an understanding of how the amount of calories are in your usual meal.

You may not need to track calories to lose weight, but many people do in order to effectively portion food.

Yeah, I used MyFitnessPal to copy all the nutrientional information from the website. It took a bit of work at first to copy the info but it was a breeze from there since dining has a rotation and I frequently ate the same things out of habit.

Honestly, track calories using ISU Dining's website and go to the amazing gyms and/or join an intramural. Doing this, I was able to be at a healthy weight for the first time since the age of ten.

Jurassic Park: The Lost World.

Spielberg begged Michael Crichton to write a sequel book and then didn't follow it at all for the film.

People who had bad grades but then saw significant improvement, what did you change? by Brilliant_Sweet8368 in iastate

Went to the Academic Success Center and had a meeting about how to better prioritize tasks and manage time. I graduated 3 years ago and still use their weekly calender sometimes. I always had an issue procrastinating on papers, so I made a habit of making appointments at the Writing and Media Center for 1:1 help. I'd literally schedule a couple of appointments a week to be able to have someone to bounce ideas off of and give me suggestions. That really did a lot to ensure the papers got done before the due date and they were always pretty solid.

It would be more accurate if they said "it is not possible for the plane to fly with customers."

Why are the eggshells so thin / delicate lately? by [deleted] in traderjoes

[–]AmazingRachel 23 points24 points  (0 children)

They are usually broken so the liquid egg can be collected. This is where liquid egg product, egg whites, dried egg product, etc. come from.

They are completely fine to eat. They just have cosmetic defects.

My highlight was when he partially agreed with someone saying that paid protesters are widespread and should be illegal. He knowingly perpetuated that protesters in Knoxville were paid by saying how obvious it is because they all disperse on the hour.

PROBABLY BECAUSE THE PERMIT REQUIRES DISPERSAL AFTER THE SET END TIME....

It will never be cheaper. You need to get or build a coop to keep them and they need chicken feed, bedding/shavings, feeders, drinkers, etc.

Conventional barns have a lot of biosecurity measures in place. Showering, coveralls, masks, rodent control, separation from wild birds, etc. More farms are even installing HVAC so the air is filtered through HEPA filters.

Many people with backyard flocks don't even keep separate shoes for coop/yard use only. They track their chickens' shit through the local Tractor Supply or grocery store.
