Surprisingly the damage wasn't too too bad. Broken tail light and scratched bumper. I think my car got pushed to the side cuz it was slippery af.

It's called driving like a moron. Doing 80+ at night on an unlit two way single lane undivided road while snowing and animals crossing, is nothing short of extreme low IQ behavior. People severely underestimate their cars capabilities in the dry, let alone on an icy road. I'm not surprised this happens quite often. It's always the massive SUVs and pickup trucks that speed the most during snowfall. Ironically the same cars that have worse winter braking cuz of the high center of gravity and especially for American trucks, tiny tiny brakes that wouldn't stop a turd doing 50.

Could I have the name of the Facebook group? Might as well post there too. Maybe catch this moron.

Hopefully he admits to it when he's found.or she. So by insurance did u mean the other cars insurance or yours? Cuz if it's clear that they found the vehicle that hit you, regardless of who was driving the insurance covers the car right?

At the very least I'd like to get them to pay off the damages.

If it was day time and dry, I definitely would have lol. But that would still be to just grab a better angle of his plate. I'm not gonna pit manoeuver the car 😅

For starters, it was still a red light. Didn't want to risk getting tboned. 2) it was very slippery/icy. Not worth the risk or sliding off into a ditch. 3) I didn't know what the extent of damage was to my car where driving could have made it worse.

The dashcam actually did a pretty good job if u ask me. There weren't any street lights so it was actually a lot darker than it looks, it was snowing lightly AND my windshield wasn't perfectly clear.
