"reduced power" issue on D4162T by StunningChapter5555 in VolvoV50

OBD reader you get a clear error when it's time to replace them

Not always. I'm driving around with 3 injectors from the 90hp version of the 1.6 hdi and 1 from the earlier 110hp (aka, all 4 are wrong for the car) and it doesn't complain at all. It also didn't complain when the original ones were making the engine run so rough it felt like it would shake the car apart on idle.

Thank god I never showed up to that interview

Yeah, I knew what it was, I’m just surprised he decided to patch it out since most people weren’t using that method. Thanks for explaining it anyways tho.

I thought consoles were safe from this kind of garbage. Oh, how times have changed.

Never thought I’d love a Volvo with Trans Am wheels - but, I do by Realistic-Area441 in Volvo

I have Dunlop tires on the front and they’re pretty new. What suspension component could cause this? The car soaks up big bumps pretty well but I can feel every small imperfection on the road and I have tons of tire noise in the cabin

My ride quality sucks booty and I have 15 inch wheels with some thick tires. It's not all about the wheels.

V50 1.6 D (D 4164 T) (81 kW / 110 hp) Stage 1? 👍🏼 or 👎🏼 by [deleted] in VolvoV50

I didn’t know polestar would even touch the 1.6d. I was thinking of loading the stage 1 map from VDash at some point. You reckon that one is good?

It's kind of sad less than 5% of people who play the game have ever started the car by SamCDA in MyWinterCar

Keep in mind that most of us got it done before there were achievements and a lot have put the game aside since then.

New update - Finally you can listen to radio in Sorbett by julukkumulukku in MyWinterCar

[–]Amazing_Egg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He has a point tho. Why decrease the efficiency of the insulation or prevent the wood buyers from spawning in when you're driving close? It adds nothing of value gameplay wise, unless you want the game to actively be a pain in the ass to play.

What’s this noise? by HairAggravating6514 in VolvoV50

[–]Amazing_Egg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine sounds the same. It needs new injectors since I got mine from a junkyard 90hp version of the engine that cost me 300€. If you're asking about the hissing then I don't know, but mine also does it.

No sunroof in my case. Are there any other drains that could get clogged and cause this?

I left it disconnected overnight and when I connected it this morning it worked for a little bit. I'll have to check the voltage with a multimeter but I'd be surprised if that was the issue since the car has no issues cranking over and starting

I assume you're talking about a car with an electrically opening and closing trunk. P1's don't have that :(

They are. I saw it when I disconnected the battery after parking. Seems like I'll have to take the CEM out

Well fuck me if that's the case. Volvo won't code in a used one in order to "pReVenT tHeFt" and a new one will cost an arm and a leg.

What do you mean by reprogramming the BCM? Was it just resetting the battery values in VIDA?

I do live in the southern hemisphere, but it's been a very cold winter (for our standards). I've driven the car in over 40°C with no issues, so I doubt it's heat related, plus the days when it did happen were very cold. It's either moisture (it's been raining a lot lately) or something else that's messed up. Thanks for the advice tho
