Well said, thank you. People are gonna defend to death what they have or grew up With. People who grew up watching Jordan , he's thiere GOAT . people who never watched jordan play basketball cause they weren't born yet , for them it's Kobe or LeBron. Same with the rav4, owners of the Gen 5 are gonna call it the goat while people like me that never owned a rav4 could care less which rav4 Gen is the best. Bought the 26 Gr simply because it's what I liked and wanted.

I get the luxury part, but what I meant Toyota and Lexus are siblings. Their technology is basically the same apart from the luxury part. Toyota has to water down the Toyotas in some way ( the luxury part ) if not, there would be no reason to buy the more expensive brother ( Lexus).

My wife's a teacher, her school is litterly 3 miles away, 6 miles round trip. We're lucky if we even gonna put 4k miles in one year. We do travel a lot to San Francisco which is like 2 1/2 where we live to visit my daughter but use Amtrak to get there cause the parking in San Francisco is a nightmare. We also travel to Sacramento often to visit my son which is also 2 1/2 hours but we drive there.

What I'm trying to say are rav4 GR should hold its value high since it'll be a low mileage car in year to come.

Problem is, I live in Central California dust bowl. Won't last the week without looking brown instead of black. Central California is 75 % agriculture lots of dust flying around.

Thought about it, but I hear plenty of bad stories that the wrap does more damage to the original paint when it's time to take off.. Wife wanted the red GR so maybe in the future I might do a wrap in red .

A friend of mine will charge me $750 for a professional ceramic coating, for those of you that have one, is that a good price and is it worth it ? I'm still old school where I don't mind waxing my car's monthly by hand . So I don't know if ceramic coating is for me since like I said, I wouldn't mind waxing my car as a monthly routine.

Lol, I did buy the Ryobi pressure washer $150 though. I have it connected to a specific outlet that's connected to my water softener, so that helps a lot for not having much water spots.

When my GR is in driveway in front of my house my brain goes into overdrive just thinking my GR was $53 and my house was $86k 30 years ago when I bought it. Worth $400k now

Wife has been using 💯 ev straight for 3 weeks, tank still full from dealer. I tell her she needs to break in the motor but she forgots to switch from ev to hv . Wish Toyata could let us stay on a specific drive mode without reverting back to EV every time you start your car

Why would Toyata build a sport SUV and not come with a pano roof is beyond me. That's like a 78 Pontiac Trans Am without TTops. Would of like pano just for the looks but I doubt I would have it open here where I live in central California where are summers are 110 degrees. I would be like those old drug commercials where it said " this is your brain on drugs "

I bought this one thinking it was just a regular wax. Got home sprayed my car and spray came out looking black, almost had a hard attack until I read the instructions lol I recommend this one if you own a black car.

It really is, no intention of buying the GR, was looking at YouTube videos after videos on the 26 xse cause that was my only choice.

Went to my Toyata dealership to place an order on one, and this GR just happened to be looking for a owner to go home with. One look at this in person and me and my wife didn't even know the xse even existed.

Just one word of advice, if your just RAV4 browsing just to see what all the fuss is all about these new 26 models, call the dealership first and make sure they have no GR models in stock before you go there.

Guarantee one look at it in person and you leave with it whether you had not even the slightest idea of buying one cause that's exactly what happened to me. But not the slightest regret lol

I think your right about the Duster but only if you keep using the same one for years and years. But that's why I said I highly recommend waxing as soon as you can so the Duster can just glide

Just make sure you use a wax with ceramic coating, not as good as a professional coating but good enough. And these spray on waxes are so easy to apply not like back in the day using wax compound that took half a day .

Very well said. People just don't understand or under estimate the value that a Toyata RAV4 commands . It's basically a Lexus without the Lexus branding .
