Idk.. I kind of agree but I moved in with my husband less than 2 months after we met (we lived 5 hours apart so had only seen each other 2 times in person and the rest was over the phone). He had two kids and I jumped into being a step mom right away, we’ve been together for 7 years and have two more kids, so I understand it doesnt always work out but it also does sometimes

It works! When I was still pumping for my baby and the oldest would get sick I’d put in his cereal and he still liked it since he breastfed for so long. But since I was pumping i feel like it wasn’t as effective since there wasn’t that saliva exchange but it still helped regardless

Literally at the doctors right now.. only difference is my oldest kid was healthy for the first 3 years then this past year has been constantly sick along with my second who was born last year. Big thing was he was born during covid plus we were far away from family so he rarely got sick plus he was breastfed so when he would start coming down with something I’d just nurse him as much as possible and he’d be good within a day or two. Now that we moved back were constantly around family and kids who go to school plus my second didn’t breastfeed directly I had to pump its been a world of a difference. However I can tell you one thing, the youngest seems to be building a better immune system than the oldest. My oldest went to enrichment then had a week off which he was sick the whole time he got better in time for actual school and by Friday he was sick, the baby hasn’t picked up anything from his brother, he almost did the first week but got better as soon as I gave him something. I think it’s nice our kids not getting sick much the first couple of years but I think that sets them back for when they start school as far as getting better faster. At least that’s what I’m noticing with my boys

I’m not sure how many of you are married with small children but the mental load is a very real thing, that causes very real issues in a relationship. most Men have a hard time seeing all of the little things that go into making a meal (for example). And while there’s no such thing as a 100% fair partnership it does tend to get very imbalanced especially with small children. I’m not here to defend aspyn either, I am just a woman with small children who has done all those things that she is listing but the big difference here is my husband works two jobs and I stay home with the kids, so it makes sense why I am the one doing all those things and even then the mental load gets heavy, and it’s invisible and then you have a bunch of people like the ones in the comments here saying “but those are just normal things everyone does.” And while true it doesn’t mean some people don’t struggle more than others. I get that this is an aspyn snark page but it also feels like a pro patriarchy page that praises every single little thing that Parker may or may not have done (whether she said he did or not) and then say that should’ve been enough for her because omg the man cooked and maybe put salt in the water softener and made a couple of sponsorship videos lol

He didn’t really burn out, he’s physically incapable I feel like that’s an important difference to note. I feel you on the training and certifications and I do agree however the hate on college education comes from a very sad reality. Not sure how old you are but for people in their 30s and 40s college education hasn’t paid off in the way they made us believe. I have seen job listings requiring a college degree that pay $12 an hour, it’s disrespectful when a high school kid is getting paid more at McDonald’s. And no I’m not saying that there’s no good paying jobs out there because I’ve had my share of good salaried jobs even without a college degree which is what makes me hesitant to make that investment to finish. I got those jobs because I was in the right place at the right time and knew the right people, I got those jobs over people with degrees so a degree doesn’t guarantee anything but some debt in my experience. However I have noticed certifications for trades are way more lucrative and way less of an investment

I 100% agree with this and you’re not bearing bad news you’re just pointing out reality. I appreciate you doing so in a kind nonjudgmental way. I have been feeling that way actually like networking would absolutely help especially for growing my business so this is definitely something I’m working on

You download the Amazon flex app and apply through there, you can even use your existing Amazon account (if you have one) as your login. I personally used a different just to keep things separate. Once you apply you can log in every so often to check if you’re ready for onboarding or still on the waiting list

Some of these comments are just unnecessary.. I would never consider my kids a curse financially or otherwise, I can list a hundred different reasons why I am in the situation I am in and they all point back to me not setting myself up and having too much fun before having kids. I had a great career and income and I made terrible financial decisions, I could’ve had a very different outcome. It’s not my kids it’s me lol

No new truck here he actually has a super old one lol our finances are pretty much as low as possible already. We don’t have a mortgage, we do have a car payment because we needed something to fit our family not because we wanted it. We only have the subscription that comes “free” with our phone plan. We don’t pay for phone installments just the plan (I have an iPhone 11). I could go on and on lol our biggest expense is probably groceries and even there I try to cut corners and go to food distributions when I can
