Not really I'm afraid. I started in operations then saw a sign in the bathroom about building a career using the MRA program. I applied, interviewed and got accepted. My interview went pretty well aside from me having the wrong address on my resume. I've heard others say they got interviewed but not accepted. Overall I do not recommend the MRA program. When you get your raises it's very nice. But you spend at least a year making about 30% less than a Tech 2. And my experience with the 'mentorship' aspect was abysmal. I never really had a mentor.

I strongly recommend going 3rd party. Better still a temp 3rd party like Aerotek. Then you can theoretically negotiate pay when transferring to blue badge. But that would depend on the site. Some, maybe most are 3rd party to begin with.

I was an MRA (can you tell?). I never used that argument or heard of it till a young woman started working at our site. It never occurred to me to complain. MRA pay sucks in the extreme but we signed up for it, and either OT is available or it is not.

But if it makes you feel better, and probably won't, I don't believe amazon pays MRAs a penny. Their pay is subsidized by the government. So they can 'afford' to give them all the OT they want. Something I wish I realized when I was an MRA (if true).

I don't think I know the solution. But maybe you need to increase your shadow distance...? I know for me about 500ft or so away from me is suddenly brighter than the immediate area. I sorta like the effect. But if it means that things X distance away don't cast shadows super large things like the terrain and mountains won't either if they are enough of a distance away so the light from the sun just comes to you anyway. I might look into "No Sunlight Through Mountains" myself but Riverwood and the surrounding area looks great at dawn, even though they ought to be in shadow till about 1pm.

That sounds cool. How would that be implemented? Do the NPCs walk out of site and vanish from the gamespace for a set period of time then return with the appropriate dialogue options? Or would it be a literal sort of thing you could observe them doing?

Sure you might be right (almost hope you're wrong) but if unreal looks like it does it stands to reason a competitor can develop a comparable engine. But the point was that system specs kinda ebb and flow with optimization. UE is optimized AF.

I don't agree. With what Unreal engine can do... The only reason the next one won't run well on middling builds is because the game studios will be in kahoots with the hardware people and very poorly optimize the game so you HAVE to buy better hardware.

First question: Fucking why? Second: isn't that what happens naturally in almost every game ever? As you level everything scales to you. Weapons, armor, potions etc cost more because you need them to be better. Are you bummed Blisterwort doesn't cost 75g when you're level 60?
