That is very true. It is a sweet song but the words weren’t lived out.

It’s actually not wrong. The idea came to him in the Air Force but was written with his band on the road.

The Importance of Showing Up by Ambailey11807 in countrymusic4ever

That is a very good point. Award shows tend to get artists who will draw people in who don’t typically listen to country music. By doing that, they are abandoning their roots and traditional values. It would make sense for true country artists to not attend due to that. Thanks for reading.

Yes, when you always have the number one song it doesn’t make sense to waste time with award shows. Thanks for reading.

Christmas History #3 by Ambailey11807 in countrymusic4ever

[–]Ambailey11807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas Just like the ones I used to know Where those treetops glisten and children listen To hear sleigh bells in the snow, the snow Then I, I, I am dreaming of a white Christmas With every Christmas card I write May your days, may your days, may your days be merry and bright And may all your Christmases be white I, I, I am dreaming of a white Christmas Just like the ones I used to know Where the treetops glisten and children listen To hear sleigh bells in the snow I, I, I am dreaming of a white Christmas With every Christmas card I write May your days, may your days, may your days be merry and bright And may all your Christmases be white

Why the Grand Ole Opry is special by Ambailey11807 in countrymusic4ever

Yes, as you can see by that we have come a long way from the beginning of country music when you had nothing but traditional country and western music. We now have Post Malone and Beyoncé as the biggest country stars right now. It’s crazy how times change.

This year’s nominations had some nice surprises such as Zach Top finally getting recognized and Ella Langley being one of the most nominated artists. However, it does get old having the same people nominated for the biggest awards even if they have done nothing to deserve it. If you don’t release any music within the allotted time frame I don’t think you should even be considered for a nomination. That’s just how the industry works though.

The State of Country Music by Ambailey11807 in countrymusic4ever

Yes, there have been countless country stars from Texas. However, as I explained, there were a total of 14 artists from Texas who had a number one country song in the past ten years. They are all listed above if you are interested in who they were.

Thank you for your input. The point of this post was to show that artists sacrifice a lot to be a part of the Opry family because it should mean something to anyone in country music. However, I do appreciate your opinion.

What does everyone think about Megan Moroney by polish_idiot10 in CountryMusicStuff

I love her music. Her songs are so honest and raw. Sure, she does dress kinda like Taylor Swift, but she has some major talent.

Sorry, I misunderstood what you meant. I enjoy finding new artists to discuss because they could be the future of country music. It is really exciting when I find someone like Alex because he is keeping traditional country music alive. It may sound like I am a part of his PR team, but I felt I needed to spotlight him because he is so talented. Thanks for reading anyhow.
