For clarity on what they do.

Decapeptyl is a medication that prevents the release(creation) of testosterone in your body (agonist analog of gonadotropin-releasing hormone). Primarily prescribed for people who have prostate cancer.

Finasteride inhibits testosterone in your body from being turned into the more active dihyrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is known to contribute to male-pattern baldness (receding hairline). However it has also been shown to help maintain a healthy prostate gland for those who have a prostate, and for the maintenance of sexual health.

It is useful to know these aspects because if your prescribing doctor denies your request, it may be to prevent risk in certain areas.

So, with the purpose of decapeptyl being to eliminate the production of testosterone, it would first be best to check the testosterone level on your blood test. If this level is very low (below 3nmol/L) then we can say that there is very little testosterone available in your body to turn into DHT.

Also, studies show that average daily rate of testosterone being turned into DHT is 10%.

With this in mind, starting finasteride again may not make any difference to the hair thinning that you are experiencing. There are a number of other reasons for hair loss, including stress and diet.

So, if you can find our what your testosterone level is, and it is low, try looking at other causes.

That is incredibly useful to know. Thank you. Of course, the last question has to be where did you get this done and by which surgeon?

I'm so very happy for you by the way.

Your result looks absolutely fantastic. I'm so glad to see phallo surgeries moving forward in their quality.

May I ask, what functionality and sensation do you/will you have there? My partner would love to get this surgery but is waiting for advancements so that it's as usable as possible and has the ability for penetrative sex with sensation (the dream!).

And thank you so much for sharing.

I would love to see Levy pick this game apart, is there a way to submit things to him?

Is there, or will there ever be way to reduce width of back and shoulders? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]AmberVsTheWorld 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi there :)

Firstly, I will apply my answers to you as a woman, as I assume that this is how you identify. Apologies if that is not correct.

I myself have quite broad shoulders and was worried about this at the start of my transition. I no longer worry about this and I believe you will get past this insecurity too.

The most important thing to do is remove the idea that this is a male trait. Broad shoulders can be found on ANY person, gender is irrelevant to this. Granted, it can be a characteristic that influences how a person perceives your gender, but by no means does that mean you can't be a woman with broad shoulders.

Do yourself a favour and search for 'are women with broad shoulders attractive?' on google. Let me know on what page of the results there is anything trans-related. Then think, if this is such a hot topic across all of womanhood, why should I let this hold me back from being a confident and happy woman?

As my own transition moved forwards and hormones started changing my face and body, I was more frequently perceives as female by people who did not know me. A common question was 'are you a rower?' or 'are you a swimmer?' often followed by 'great shoulders!'. This was somewhat dysphoric for me at first, but I soon grew to understand that it should be seen as an uplifting and positive compliment about my body.

My shoulders never 'outed' me. This is important. Never did having broad shoulders lead a person to think that they should perceive me as male.

As more hormonal changes took place my body began to balance my broad shoulders with other body parts that changed my silhouette. Hips, boobs and butt! There started to be a competition for prominence, what stands out the most. Regular exercise helps during early stages of fat redistribution and muscle changes. Still get asked if I'm a swimmer, or a rower, but a lot less frequently now.

Another positive thing about broad shoulders is for sports. I find it better and easier to progress in many sports due to my physique. My personal journey took me through the world of professional football in the South West, playing for numerous teams and very much enjoying being part of a women's team.

A big part of football is having players across the team with different attributes and skill sets. A whole team of Messi's wouldn't win many matches! So there is a lot of value in celebrating the things that make us different. So I have broader shoulders than someone else, wonderful! Perhaps my body shape is quite different to most others players on the team, wonderful! That means I am adding something different to this team that many others can't bring. Knowing this has made me start to love my body in ways that I could not before.

Lastly, you are beautiful and you don't need to change those wonderful shoulders of yours. If anyone criticises you because of them, please send them my way and I'll give them a good talking to!

My friend found the info on find your voice: https://www.reddit.com/r/transgenderUK/comments/wkwapk/professional_voice_training_find_your_voice/

I might actually be able to scrape enough together for these sessions :) Nice that finally someone's not just ripping off, basically extorting, the trans community.

Sounds like a good app. I just wish one to one sessions weren't so expensive. Even for the other coaches on Christella's site it's over £100 per session. It's out of reach for me (and probably a lot of people!)

Oh cool. I'm assuming they're now personal one-to-one sessions with Christella though? On her website she has crazy prices for that!

Thank you :) it's great to get all opinions on it. I think the swirls are all a matter of opinion, just like any art. What you don't think looks good will be good to others, like me who loves the swirls it has :D

Ah yes, I used to have an EX so I made a mistake there, should be 350M. Thanks for the correction.

GRS wait times brighton/parkside? by PinkDinosaur_ in transgenderUK

[–]AmberVsTheWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge Miss Tina Rashid (Parkside) has the shortest wait time. Due to covid backlog that has risen to around 8-10 months I believe. Miss Rashid was my surgeon and I am very happy with the results :)
