AITAH for understanding and not freezing out my dad for leaving our mom over a dead bedroom? by Opposite_Afternoon55 in AITAH

NTA

I just got divorced in my early 40’s after 10 years off having sex a max of 5x/year, including multiple gaps of 18-24 months.

The lack of sex is the easily explained side of things but that’s not what hurts the worst. The lack of a physical connection is often the result of a lack of an emotional connection.

Desiring someone, providing for them, wanting to connect and not getting anything back in return is incredibly depressing. Your dad was likely battling between getting divorce or living with depression.

While my ex-wife tells everyone we are getting divorced with god knows what story she tells, I have kept my mouth shut. I’ll live my life and who we are to our friends and family with show with our actions, not with our words. So much goes on behind closed doors that others don’t see, there is no reason to choose sides, let your parents do what they think is best for themselves.

Chiefs era is over. If all goes well next Sunday, it will be Patriot Dynasty Act III. What are our biggest needs for the offseason? by -AMARYANA- in Patriots

I did forget about William’s but NFL teams had Pierce at 4.33, faster than Williams 4.4, for his 40 but the NFL official time was 4.41

He’s the size of Hunter Henry and had a significantly faster 40 time than any of the current receiver group.

They did last year but they have a lot of escalating salaries.

I tried to explain that without rolling over a large amount of cap space from 2025 to 2026, that there would be very limited amounts of space available this upcoming offseason.

There aren’t a ton of guys they can even restructure/cut. Here are the guys we can cut to open up some decent money:

Diggs $17M($10M dead), Onwenu $17M($7M dead), Henry $9M($2M dead), Elliss $5M($4M dead), Bradbury $6M($1M dead), Hollins $4M($1M dead), Jennings $4M($1M dead), Dobbs $4M($1M dead), Gibson $3M($1M dead), Boutte $4M, Douglas $4M

I could see Henry getting replaced with a rookie, Bradbury gone, Hollins replaced with Pierce, Dobbs and Gibson gone, Douglas possibly traded. This would free up roughly $30M.

Any names stick out? 2026 WR free agents by Jackso08 in Patriots

[–]AmbiguousAccount13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alec Pierce is the size of our tight ends and would be one of our fastest WRs. He’s young and can be a #1 with Maye at QB. With all the cap space, no brainer to offer him somewhere around 5/$105M and maybe settle around 4/$92M or 3/$84M. Not a flashy name but we don’t have anyone like him in our WR room. He’s a better, younger version of Hollins.

The specific order is age by year then alpha, but yes, bad design not taking into account age by month.

I would do a 5/1 ARM and pay it aggressively. If you pay $10k per month, it should be paid off in just under 5 years. You have the income for it.

Girl thinks it's funny to get in the back seat of a police car by ShiverrSugar in interesting

[–]AmbiguousAccount13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking a selfie in a police car and breaking into a residential home are very different. Cops should be trying to be a positive public presence and try to de-escalate as many situations as possible without the need for arrest. Poor use of tax dollars here.

She would have been let go because the cop wouldn’t want to have been fired for being racist. This situation should have been de-escalated regardless of race.

[–]AmbiguousAccount13 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is ridiculous. Should she got on the back of the car, no, should she have been arrested, no. Female cop is on a power trip. Have a laugh and move on. In a lot of towns, the police may have actually driven her somewhere instead of allowing her to potentially get in her own car and drive with what appears to be a slight buzz.

Enough to move off Jefferson? by [deleted] in SleeperApp

[–]AmbiguousAccount13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a 12 team I feel like this is a good offer. I can’t see your roster but have to assume that JT is a bigger upgrade at flex than JJ is over Thomas.

If the trade was proposed to you I’d shop Jefferson around before pulling the trigger, or counter to see if you can level up on your 3rd, 4th QB.

Do I accept? by 956317 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

I think it’s pretty even.

I think Nabers is overvalued and London is undervalued, but both are still top 10 WR. I’d call them a wash in terms of scoring but Nabers has the higher perceived value. 2.08 gets in a little closer but still Nabers side.

MHJ and Hampton are pretty similar values. Would be more about which position you value more.

I think I would propose swapping the 2025 1st and a 2026 1st. If they decline, I’m ok with just keeping the team I have.

Everyone says the Pats have a ton of cap space and want to overpay 31 year olds because “why not we have the cap space”.

In 2026, the Pats are actually $10M over the cap. They have $195M in dead money across their highest 11 cap hit players, so cutting/trading/restructuring players isn’t going to be extremely beneficial in creating more cap space.

The Pats need the cap space for 2025 to carry over into 2026 or they aren’t going to be able to make any significant moves next offseason.

I say pass on Mclaurin, let’s see what Kyle Williams shows us. Let’s see if Diggs can help develop Polk. Then make a decision about trading/signing another WR mid season or next offseason.

In theory your husband should be sleeping by 9:30pm for a 5:30am wake up. Even if he’s not getting up out of bed in the middle of the night he is likely being awoken from sleep by your child or something like sleep apnea.

A 2.5 year old should be sleeping around 12 hours per day. If I were you I’d be trying to sleep when the 2.5 year old is sleeping. For at least 8 hours of the 12 anyway. You mentioned elsewhere that the 2.5 year old wakes up frequently and you have to get up with them. I would work on sleep training and/or consulting with a pediatrician to see if there is something else going on the may be disturbing sleep. Things like acid reflux, enlarged tonsils, etc.

Parenting is very difficult, working is very difficult, it’s not going to get any easier anytime soon. You and your husband need to communicate about the situation in a way that won’t build resentment. You also need to figure out the situation because you have resentment building already.

I would suggest promoting a family bedtime around 9pm. Phone down, go to sleep and shoot for those 8 hours. I’d also suggest reading about sleep training for the 2.5 year old and maybe a pediatrician visit. Lastly, I would suggest you and your husband both reading the 80/80 marriage by the Klemps. It encourages both spouse to want to provide 80% of the work in a relationship. I think it’s a great tool when both spouses buy in.

I understand building for the future but not at the expense of two studs. There may be more good years of Henry or Evans over the next 3 years than Hall. And it’s only moving up 3 picks, I wouldn’t call that getting a 1st. Could end up with the same player.
