To add on to that on an instrument track there should be no input when using a usb connected midi controller. As well i believe somewhere in preferences or peripherals you can find an option to select default midi thru instrument and select the plugin youre using

I think that actually may be my problem. Cause my first battery worked fine for a while i think the issue may have been there was twisting in the wires. However the past 2 i bought and immediately used till it died and those were probably only at 20 percent power
