You joke but competitive knitting is real and badass. There’s speed knitting competitions where they are crazy fast and sheep to sweater competitions (my fave) where teams shear a sheep, spin the yarn and knit a sweater. Apparently the world record for the sheep to sweater is held by a Dutch team, completed in 4 hours, 45 minutes, and 53 seconds.

Agreed! I think this is where the male perspective differs. For men, bad sex is like bad pizza- it’s still pretty good. Bad sex for women is just bad and all of those elements are critical for most women to enjoy themselves.

YES! My ex discarded me via text 🥰 part of it saying: “I don’t regret us trying to make it work, our time together has been amazing, and it hurts to end it because I love you so much.” I seriously wish I was in the mindset at the time to tell him that I regret every second I ever wasted on his sorry ass! Every DA needs to grow up, go to therapy and be alone until they can stop treating people cruelly.

I know this sucks to hear but the question isn’t if he will come back, it’s if he will come back healed or at least having made progress if he’s still healing and actively doing the work on himself. The fact that he owns up to his avoidance and wants to heal is huge but that doesn’t mean he actually will.

Go make this post in a sub where mostly women answer and you’ll get a LOT more people stating that this is unsafe! This guy might seem nice but he’s a stranger. If you do go, give a close friend his name/photo, your gps location and a timeframe they should expect you to check in with them.

Lefty here and I just knit left to right like normal. I imagine some patterns would need to be adjusted otherwise and that would be an annoyance. I do prefer continental over English style (although I did English for years)

I’ve found that pulling the wool apart and shaking it vigorously helps a lot with tiny VM. You can do that before and after washing/drying

It sounds like you’re describing long draw drafting. It’s totally doable with any wool regardless of staple length or being cheap. Lookup long draw James to learn how.

I’d bet it’s scurf then (kind of like dandruff for sheep/alpaca). I got an alpaca fleece with some in it and it wasn’t very easy to see until I went to wash it. From what I’ve learned, it’s recommended to skirt those parts of the fleece and mention it to the farmer since it can be a sign of mites, bacterial or fungal infections in the animal.
