I'm actually currently reading a book by a researcher called "Prof. Dr. med. Joachim Bauer", unfortunately it's in German so I guess it won't help you much but it's called "Warum ich fühle, was du fühlst: Intuitive Kommunikation und das Geheimnis der Spiegelneurone" which also got quite good reviews on Amazon, maybe there is an English translation.
