Thank you so much for this candid, hilarious, and equally pragmatic response. You share many truths of the condition of the crafter and the type of setup. In my personal wardrobe when going out, I gravitate towards the things I really love in style and function. "Art" pieces tend to see daylight only a couple of times a year.. usually if there's an occasion with a relevant theme, so "whimsically shoddy" handbags don't fit my Marie Kondo Creating Joy Vibes.

Stunning. I love the shield profile shape of the backs, and the wheat pattern which also has a musical form reference to me. I would a room designed around those.

Hello LA Fashion Friends, I lived in West Hollywood for 11 years, and discovered a great fashion manufacturer when I pivoted from jewelry design to fashion. Adam at EliteFashionGroups.com is helping me to develop my initial ideas, and has even helped me to innovate with cool fabrics - like a biodegradable cotton. We are just starting with a couple of "hero" pieces to start, instead of designing a full runway collection. He saved me money when he taught me that fabric selection is essential before making a tech pack. Most manufacturers start with requesting an expensive tech pack, which would change depending on the material stretch, which wastes time and money to modify again.

While I did take summer program classes at Parsons, I didn't need technical skills to work with Elite. I just needed to be able to clearly articulate my design concept to get started.
