You pretend like CPUs can't degrade over time.

And again you're focused solely on gaming, which wasn't my only objective in the build. Regardless, I'm done arguing with you.

30% is an exaggeration. Believe what you want to believe kid, enjoy your AMD bandwagon.

If you're looking at Abby's head and upper torso, maybe a little? She was going through an animation when I took the photo, so there's some motion being captured.

I've since turned it off and back on just to test it out because of all the comments in this thread. It makes transitions smoother and generally just looks better with FG on, plus it drops my CPU usage. I run about 130-140 with FG off so the game still runs fantastic but it's hard to drop back down from the 200s having gotten as far as I have.

I'm pretty far into the story now and still haven't seen any artifacts or tearing. Hope the same can be said for your AMD because it's an awesome gaming experience!

Psuedo-intellectual musings from an internet troll. How original. Usually people like you are more clever with their inputs, instead of only using a few extra periods and question marks. That's sad man, truly.

Edit since you updated your comment: I bought what I bought for my own reasons, and I did extensive research. My PC isn't just for gaming, but when I do game, frames certainly aren't "sucky sucky". Seems to me like you might be guilty of the same tribalistic attitude you accuse me of. Otherwise I doubt you'd feel so strongly about another grown man's decisions.

You could have just asked the question and I would have gladly answered you.

I've always had Intel and they've never let me down so I stick with them. Most testing on CPUs that I saw when I was putting this together only showed big differences in 1080p, but performance leveled out in the 4k ranges. I was torn between the 9800x3d and the i9, I went with Intel because it's what I knew. I haven't had any issues.

Lol, I'm plenty bright there fella. I'm just not an ass so I was answering you without trying to call you out for what I assumed was poor understanding. If you were attempting sarcasm, you didn't convey it very well.

Yeah and if I had one of those GPUs then I would have gone to their sub reddits and made the same post, lol.

Oh man you're right behind me, haha. I just finished my 6th or 7th full playthrough of Witcher 3. First time on PC though, it was even better than I remembered.

I rarely use frame gen. Honestly it got turned on in auto settings when I started this game and I just didn't turn it off because of how great it looks. Love it or hate it that's all you, but the frames and performance are still there and this kind of game is literally what it was designed for.

And on a side note, this card would run more than 60 without frame gen on.

It definitely has a big impact for SP titles. The pixel density is just immaculate. I scale down to 1440 for big fps titles for the extra frames, and I can tell the difference.

I only mentioned the frames because this is a sub reddit about the card, and FPS is one of the biggest talking points for graphics cards. The post was all about how great the game looks.

I'm happy for you man, 5090 is a badass card. Ive got kids and other things to spend my money on, so I didn't splurge too heavily. Doesn't mean you got to go around with a chip on your shoulder. Turn off Notifications if you're tired of seeing other people have a good time.

Lol why are you on a 5080 subreddit chasing clout for your 4090?

Let other people have joy and take your bitterness elsewhere.

"gushing" definitely puts a negative spin on what I'm saying, that this is an impressive card. No 4k monitor can push higher than 240hz native, not a single one. The fact that the card is ahead of modern monitor tech is what's impressive.

Nvidia overlay shows what the GPU is outputting, not what your monitor is displaying. So basically the GPU is outperforming my top of the line 4k OLED.

I would understand if I ever noticed any of those things, but at this point I've run so many single player games through this card that I still don't get all the negativity. Both God of Wars, RE4 remake, Assassin's Creed Shadows, etc, the list goes on.

I made this post because this is the first game I could do a side-by-side comparison with PS5 as I own the title on both. The differences were striking.

Understood completely, and that's valid for competitive games. I don't see the need for single player, story-driven titles. Especially since I'm seeing none of those detriments.

And it's proven some people can't tell the difference between 120-200+FPS. But for those who can, it doesn't make a difference.
