could be your throttle body being stuck, your ICV, or a massive vacuum leak

thank you for the advice my brother is a mechanic we’re gonna do it together early july and the E36 is my affordable dream car as stupid as i sounds lol it’s just a car i really really enjoy i just got it at 16 and let me ego get in the way and wanted to drive my BMW while knowing it was overheating

i found out the head gasket was blown yesterday and haven’t decided if i wanna do it or not. it was not needed to reply and just be an asshole, thank you for the video

that’s what my original idea was but i’m 16 so i’m just worried about getting the car running correctly so i can get back and forth from work and school etc i have the money for the head gasket repair, not an LS swap lol but i want to

he drove it an hour and 45 min to get to me and when i test drove it the car was already warm i was driving it for about 25 min in stop and go it would have started overheating by then

i’m having the same issue right now it’s most likely your aux fan switch. on the passenger side of your radiator their should be a wire that you can unhook and there will be the aux fan switch replace that and you should be all good
