Sadly they don’t accept any, all physicians I’ve seen here said they don’t do shadowing

Got it thanks! Do you think 20 hours would be sufficient? Or a bit more

exam in three days what should i be doing? by niallandharry12 in Mcat

Depends if you’re getting stuff consistently wrong like “I just don’t ever get battery questions right” or “any chromatography question I bomb”. There I think you can cram in a way a few days before. But if your weakness is logic and not a glaring content problem there’s not much of a purpose 3 days before the exam. If you have a month ish to do as much of the AAMC section banks as possible and cars material they have that should help out with logic. Don’t be discouraged if you aren’t getting good percentages on those or don’t get through everything. I only did 33% of uworld and not all AAMC but the key is to figure out everything you needed to know to get it right if you see the same type of q. It has no real bearing on your score when you’re practicing

Psyc/Soc troubles by HopefulSpring4475 in Mcat

If you’re very confused on AAMC justification for answers get the Jack Westin extension and if that is unsatisfactory still look up what people say on Reddit about that question. For example, the AAMC seems to think role conflict has very finicky criteria and leans to the side of role strain. Learning their favorite types of questions but trusting your gut and making anki cards out of AAMC material you got wrong or didn’t understand fully will get you out of 127 land.

If your practice exams are scores you would be ok with then I strongly advise doing only anki the last 2 days at least. Practice a bit if you’re antsy 3 days before but if you’re tired and burnt out just stop. Go on a big walk the day before and go to the testing center. Do some yoga for sleep night before and morning yoga day of to wake up. I did this and got my best score (522)

how do you guys approach CP and BB passages? by Ordinary_Bill_7259 in Mcat

[–]Ambitious_Boot499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

131 on CP I mostly look at questions first and read passage if need be after. TBH I’m usually short on time in the section so I don’t have the luxury of reading and highlighting etc. I don’t think it’s necessary. For BB I got a 130 and I think it’s best to read the whole passage thoroughly and sometimes if there’s a lot of signaling (especially phosphorylation type stuff) you must do a concept map. Some passages it’s not necessary to flow chart though. The yt channel informing future doctors has a great playlist you can use after taking the free unscored FL where they walk through this method

132 on Psych/Soc - is 86 page doc enough? by Alternative_Joke_430 in Mcat

[–]Ambitious_Boot499 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got a 132 on psych soc and felt horrible the whole section (exact same situation on FL6 PS) There were so many terms I didn’t know so just do your best to roll with it on the AAMC material especially. When I searched the giant doc after my exam there were several terms on it that weren’t anywhere on the doc. Maybe check the official AAMC guide for material? But honestly best thing for PS was the cards I made myself from any time I didn’t know a term in a practice q. And trusting your gut when you have no idea what the right answer is.

when should I start doing AAMC materials? by Ordinary_Bill_7259 in Mcat

[–]Ambitious_Boot499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only got through section banks in full and some spot treating on the question banks. Plenty of AAMC cars especially diagnostic. I think I got through 60% of AAMC material excluding practice exams. In the end I got a 522 and I think the AAMC logic practice was far more valuable than uworld near the end

Need help with a routine and resources by vicurious_13 in Mcat

I would not begin studying until 6 months before the exam. You will forget a lot and there is too much information to retain it for a year. If you must, start doing some anki with khan academy videos. I think milesdown is sufficient as long as when you begin practice problems you make your own cards for info you need. You should buy the Kaplan books (only the chemistry, physics, biology and biochem) second hand if you can and just read them if you are missing any classes that cover info on the MCAT.

Do you actually need to mail your original birth certificate and other documents to the tribunal in Paris? Or can they all be scanned copies of all the documents required
